A legal drama, For the People stars Britt Robertson, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Ben Rappaport, Susannah Flood, Wesam Keesh, Regé-Jean Page, Ben Shenkman, Hope Davis, Charles Michael Davis, Vondie Curtis-Hall, and Anna Deavere Smith. The Shondaland legal drama unfolds at “The Mother Court,” i.e. the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. The ABC TV series centers on six young attorneys, who work on both sides of the law. Whether they represent the defense or the people, these lawyers ply their trade, trying some of the most publicized cases, and in federal court, the stakes can be sky high.
Airing on Thursday nights, the second season of For the People is averaging a 0.51 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.98 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 19% in the demo and up by 17% in viewership.
Out of the 21 scripted ABC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, For the People is in 19th place in the demo and 17th place in total viewership.

For The People my favorite show. Acting is excellent and story line terrific. Bring it back
This is my favorite show of all time- I will be sad to see it go. I loved how well the cast seemed to coexist onscreen & how the characters’ storylines tied together almost flawlessly. The final speeches and lessons that came from each episode were beautiful- even with some cheesy presentations. For the People meant a lot to me as a viewer for the two seasons it had… Thank you, ABC, for airing it.
This has been my favorite show! The story lines are interesting, and the writing and acting makes me really care about the attorneys as well as the people they defend. I hope ABC will reconsider as they did last season to KEEP THIS SHOW for many seasons to come!

I am so pissed off! Every single time there’s a show that’s meaningful, funny and true, it’s cancelled! Whatever polls ABC, CBS and NBC are listening to do not represent real live people, because I’m one of them, not some stupid black box. This show took on real life issues and due to the current fake administration is being cancelled. This is no longer America, it’s now a facist country and you people should be ashamed of yourselves for being sheep without a backbone!!
So disappointed to hear abc cancelled for the people, excellent show, one I looked forward to every week, loved the story lines, actors are excellent & it held my attention throughout the hour, what a shame abc has no idea what their doing? Every good one goes and junk remains!

I’m so disappointed there won’t be a third season. I really liked this show. There’s so much crap on tv, they finally have a legal show I love and they take it off.
I’m VERY SAD and don’t get it! Bad choice! Loved writing, actors, characters…it was just getting started! Give a show a chance dang it! This just sucks! Oh and great music too! Thanks a lot!

I am so disappointed that they are cancelling For the people. I loved watching that show. I can’t understand why they would cancel a show that is so excellent. It was interesting and educational. This last one on voter fraud was very eye opening. More people need to know about that so they don’t back down when voting on who they think should lead. So Disappointed. Finally another good legal show and it gets canceled. What is going on, The Practice, Boston Legal, Chicago Law???? Get rid of the useless reality shows that serve no purpose.
I am very disappointed to hear that one of my fav shows is being canceled. WHY? I think it is very interesting and it keeps my attention. I look forward to watching it every week. Yes I would watch it for many more seasons to come. I still watch Perry Mason. You learn from these types of shows. Yes I too would watch another series and some. Iv’e always liked court/legal movies and I look forward to seeing this one every week. I am disappointed to hear that anybody does’t like it. What is there not to like? It’s very interesting…. Keeps my attention…
Please don’t cancel one of the only decent series ABC has. We love the quirky people and the fabulous writing. It really is one of the only shows on network we like. What’s not to like??!!
