Seems that FOX (my most watched network) has a problem sticking to a schedule. Flopping shows constantly drives viewers nutz, and greatly distorts the ratings. Many viewers plan a portion of their evenings around the schedule of their favorite show and are unable to adapt to some of the “knee jerk”, juvenile prempts.
Because of progressive story-lines and character studies, it makes the better shows hard to follow when an episode is missed. Plus, local TV guides to not react well to last minute changes and do not post the “new” air time.
