Airing on TNT, Franklin & Bash has been a moderately successful series for the cable channel. In the past, they’ve tried shaking things up to draw better ratings but it hasn’t worked. The numbers slipped lower each year. The producers are shaking things up yet again this season. Will the ratings rise or fall even lower? Will it be renewed for a fifth season or will the series be cancelled? Stay tuned.
Franklin & Bash revolves around two unconventional lawyers and best friends who end up being hired at a prestigious law firm. This season, they end up running the place. The current cast includes Breckin Meyer, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dana Davis, Kumail Nanjiani, Malcolm McDowell, Reed Diamond, and Toni Trucks.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
11/11 update: TNT has cancelled Franklin & Bash after four seasons.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: Season three of Franklin & Bash averaged a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.11 million viewers.
What do you think? Do you like the Franklin & Bash series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?
Someone remember to turn the lights out when they leave.
Please bring back the old characters.
Really disappointed in the show, not as entertaining with the new characters added.I have not been interested in watching anymore.
I saw this show the very 1st time by ‘accident’, as I spotted it right after fished watching my favorite ‘Castle’ on TNT, and then this refreshing comedy show popped up…I thought it’s fun and funny and I’m trying to find out when if this show w’d be playing once again, and regularly. It w’d be very sad if it’s got cancelled…): It’s actually a chemistry in b-tween each character, it works well, seriously. I don’t give high rating for most of those stupid TV shows in general. I enjoy watching Castle as well Franklin & Bash. PLEASE KEEP THIS… Read more »
Drop this drivel and bring on Longmire.
Strongly agree…………..
This show is Amazing!!!
Wow, I am the only one I guess that likes the new season of Franklin and Bash. There are more episodes to go folks…who’s to say the old boss isn’t returning. Love the fact he is getting a new place and has his license back to practice law. This show needed to be shaken up a bit…a lot can happen before the fianle… looks like lots of fun ahead!
Franklin & Bash is no longer funny! What on earth has happened to this show that started out so well? It’s now juvenile, bordering on stupid and unfunny. The actors no longer seem like they care and the writers need to be fired and replaced with competent people. Huge disappointment last season with the addition of Heather Locklear that served no purpose whatsoever, glad she’s gone. We had hoped that with her no longer in the mix and Malcolm McDowell playing a larger part again, it would once again go back to it was in season 1, no such luck.… Read more »
I really love Franklin&Bash !! Watch every single show but if they want to get much more ratings , I think they need to the show a little more funnier & bring more people on the show 🙂 🙂 It doesn’t seem as funny as the 1st & 2nd season …..;) 🙁 🙁 😉
I have watched all of the first 3 seasons and enjoyed all of them. If episode 1 of season 4 is anything like the episodes to come I will not be watching it. Basically taking 5 of the 7 main characters out of the show and still thinking your going to make a run of it is ridiculous. It better get better or it won’t complete it’s 4 season.
I have enjoyed Franklin and Bash in the past, particularly their quirky supporting cast. The season premier, however, was a disappointment. I miss Carmen and Pindar and think eliminating their characters was a mistake. Putting “the inmates in charge of the asylum” was also a poor decision. The Franklin and Bash premise is based, in part, on the duo’s weekly battles with “the establishment.” By putting them in charge, they have actually become the establishment which makes the show all “punchline” and without the much needed “set-up.”
Well said and I agree with you wholeheartedly. Pindar was one of the things that made me love this show when I first saw it. I loved the original premise of Franklin and Bash “bucking the system” and being who they really were instead of the boring stuffed shirt egotistical lawyers we usually see. That was part of the draw of the show. I’m not liking the new changes and can’t see how this was an improvement at all. Why change a formula that already worked and that viewers enjoyed? This viewer certainly doesn’t enjoy it anymore.
wow can you say chum in the water. has cancellation written all over it.
That frat boy act is sickening and boring, they should have been cancelled NOT King & Naxwell. Makes no sense!
I completely agree with you!
I have watched this show over previous seasons and just watched an episode earlier this week. To me personally the quality of this show has gone down. It is probably hard to continually come up with good shows because of the nature of the characters. Not sure if I will continue to watch, so the question is probably moot to me. I don’t think that I will miss it, since I have not thought about it, since last year.
I like F&B, but if they want to shake things up more do this: Bring in celebs for short cameos, or have the celebs be the one being defended. Remember Burke’s Law back in the day? That show brought in a lot of celebs, mostly for cameos, but it was a good move. We enjoyed seeing them. Bringing in celebs for cameos or something and it may provide bigger ratings. Just saying………………
Not old enough to remember Burke’s Law from back in the day, sorry, but I did watch Burke’s Law and The Name of the Game from a few months ago. Was showing on cable on the same station that showed McMillan and Wife, McCloud, and Banachek. Also The Love Boat, Bat Man, Lost in Space, Remington Steele, Cannon, The Brady Bunch (I hated that show — except for Alice); and the super Sunday line up of The Streets of San Francisco, Cannon, The Rocjford Files, Kojak, Columbo, The Untouchables, The Alfred Hitchcick Hour, and The Fugitive. I have also been… Read more »
