In its first season, God Friended Me was CBS’ seventh-highest-rated scripted series. Will viewers stick with it in season two or, will they move on to something new? Will God Friended Me be cancelled or renewed for season three on CBS? Stay tuned. *Status Update Below.
God Friended Me stars Brandon Micheal Hall, Violett Beane, Joe Morton, Suraj Sharma, Javicia Leslie, and Erica Gimpel, with Adam Goldberg and Jessica Lu recurring. Set in New York City, the series revolves around a thoughtful and outspoken podcaster named Miles (Hall). Miles is an atheist and that puts him at odds with his father (Morton), a former reverend. Miles’ life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from a user named “God”. He eventually accepts the request and starts digging into his new friend’s account, convinced it’s a hoax. He partners with journalist Cara Bloom (Beane) and gets additional aide from his sister Ali (Leslie) and his hacker pal, Rakesh (Sharma). Miles is convinced that the “God” account is an elaborate hoax and is devoted to uncovering the truth. In the meantime, he’s playing along and, in the process, seeing his life changed forever.

Please keep this show. It is so refreshing to have a show that my young grandchildren and I can watch together. A clean non violent, show.
Please keep this show
“God friended me” is our favorite show,it hasn’t been on (WlKY TV32) in a long time, was wondering if it’s coming back, when there’s a good (clean one!) on,it’s usually taken off, hope this will be back!
This is about the only current TV show that I try to make sure I watch every week. Its challenging situations seem like real life problems people might have. Of course having a computer whiz hacker and a buzzing cell phone at just the right time help move the action along! : ) It reminds me a little of a long running TV series in the past called Touched by an Angel, but with updates like blogs, cell phones, computers, and the like! I missed last seasons show that was about Miles helping a boy with autism. I read reviews… Read more »
God Friended Me is a great show. I love how it shows that good is in this world and it does not show violence. I hope the show will continue!
My husband and I love this show! We always watch football together and then look forward to 60 minutes and God Friended Me. It is so refreshing and such a feel good show! The family drama is real and easy to relate to in some way. The characters are respectful and have real struggles. We need this type of show when all we are surrounded by is violence, and bad news.
God Friended Me is my favorite show. What a refreshing change from violence and negativity! I love the focus on people and relationships, the uplifting themes, the importance placed on integrity and doing the right thing, respecting others and kindness. The mystery part continues to be exciting and I look forward to every episode.
God Friended Me needs to stay on television. There are so few wholesome primetime shows. We need something that promotes positivity & helping others in this world that is so focused on teaching people to put themselves first.
I look forward to watching God Friended Me every Sunday evening. It’s not only exciting and challenging, it’s uplifting. The characters demonstrate decency, kindness, and integrity. I commend CBS for having shows like God Friended Me, The Neighborhood, Bob Loves Abishola, and Carol’s Second Act where racial differences are tolerated and acccepted. God Friended Me is a jewel in CBS’ crown.
I love this show and the actors. It is heartwarming and think we need to see more like it on TV.
My husband and I really love the God Friended Me. There is a combination of mystery, God, loving family, decent people; why would you cancel this TV show?
We are so tired of murders, crimes, FBI, sleazy doctor shows. Please do not cancel
God Friended Me is such a lovely change from so much TV that is out there. There isn’t violence, sex, crassness. It’s just a good show that anyone could watch and find benefit in.
I love God Friended Me. It’s a great show with wonderful believable characters.
We love the God Friended me series. We do watch it from the DVR but record all the series. The mix of ethnic diversity, the heartfelt real life experiences and the sincere relationships make this a must see for us!
