What’s This TV Show About?
A Netflix comedy police procedural, The Good Cop stars Tony Danza, Josh Groban, Monica Barbaro, Isiah Whitlock Jr, and Bill Kottkamp. The series follows former NYPD officer Tony Caruso Sr (Danza) aka “Big Tony,” and his son, Tony Jr (Groban), who goes by TJ. By-the-book TJ is a current NYPD Brooklyn-based detective, while Big Tony was never too fond of the rules. Now they live together, and sometimes work as unofficial partners, while dear old dad tries to teach his conscientious kid some street smarts.
The Good Cop has been cancelled so there won’t be a second season. Stay tuned for further updates.

I absolutely LOVED this show. The humor was excellent (LOL through-out) and the plots were full of drama and humor and well constructed. Danza and Groban worked well together and I thought Groban did an excellent job acting. Danza was so much better even than I remembered from his earlier shows. I really can’t believe this show was canceled. What were they thinking?

Please keep this show. It is so entertaining. Once started it I couldn’t wait for the next episode and now I’ve watched them all and hope you will renew the series.
Please please please don’t cancel this show. It has all the ingredients that make it so much fun, (and riveting), mystery, humor, and even a perfect length (60-90 minutes per episode). I love it!

THE GOOD COP is well written and very well played! I love the diversity of plot types. It’s a wonderful ‘cop show’ with lots of unexpected turns. It’s also a great human interest story of relationships. This show pulls me ‘the baby boomer’ and ALL the Millennials!
