CBS fans, it is time to get ready for a big crossover. Fans of Hawaii Five-0 and Magnum PI will soon see the two worlds collide as the Five-0 gang bumps into Magnum and his crew while working a case. With both shows taking place in Hawaii, a crossover had been planned for some time, but it could not happen during season one of the Magnum PI reboot.
Peter Lenkov, the man behind both CBS shows, teased the crossover. Per TV Line, he revealed that the crossover is “a big-stakes story that really feels like a two-hour movie.”
During the crossover, the teams will be working the same case, and they will come across each other in the process. The Five-0 team will need to protect Magnum and Higgins when they become witnesses.
For the crossover, Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Stephen Hill and Zachary Knighton will appear on Hawaii Five-0, and Beulah Koale , Meaghan Rath and Katrina Law will appear on Magnum PI.
The crossover will air on January 3 on CBS.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Hawaii Five-0 and Magnum PI? Are you excited to see the two teams work together? Will you watch the crossover?
If Steve goes so do I.
AND IF BONNIE IS IN I’M OUT.

No I love Hawaii five-o but I don’t like Magnum or at least I don’t like the actor he is no Tom Selleck!
I think it’s time to move on. The original show ended over 3 decades ago….
HlA$hawqii 5-0″ is okay–too many main characters… Really like “Magnum PI–great characters, especially Higgins and Kumu! And like having Katsumoto more involved. Magnum and his buddies are also good. Yes, we watch every week!
PS we grew up in Hawaii (Kailua, Oahu) so we’re locals who enjoy the scenery and appreciate your respect for the Culture of the Islands, and accuracy of locations. Hana hou!
I think the writers forgot that on H50, MPI was mentioned as a fictional show – now they are doing a cross over. Wish writers could keep their stories straight.
Love both shows, I use to live in Hawaii back in 1974
Love both shows. Watch them both.
Always look forward to visiting Hawaii every Friday. Hope CBS has the wisdom to keep both shows on their network. Aloha!
Absolutely will watch, love both shows
Hawaii Five-0 story lines have been just so so for a while. Hopefully, the cross over will bring a good story that is fun to watch.
Love the cast in Magnum PI. Good stories. Would love to see the same energy the Five 0 team use to have. They have the actors to do it.
I agree, too many main characters. I was a faithful watcher of the show until this season. Not one show has kept my attention and the addition of the new member of Five-O is too much. I haven’t watched the show for the past three weeks.
Sim, irei assistir o crossover porque amo Hawaii-five 0, excelente show e Alex O’loughlin é a nossa estrela favorita.
Terrific combination
No, magnum reboot is a joke. And 50 needs to get their show in order, has been very bad. Two new people, terrible…then they dump Jerry. Some dum dum running the show.
Why are the ratings so high for Hawaii Five-0? Someone’s doing something right. I think it’s really good this season, especially the episode Alex O’Loughlin wrote, directed, produced and starred in. He is absolutely amazing and the episode after carried through with the fallout of how his mom’s death affected him. I think they are doing something really good this season so far.
Absolutely will be watching. I enjoy Magnum PI. So now every Friday we call it Lady’s Night. Its more of a party for all 22 plus at times. We watch both series. We truly enjoy them, I didn’t think my long time friends would, but now seems got a nice group. The one thing they all seem to comment about is how Magnum looks at Higgins like he’s holding on to a big secret. And, you would not believe how many said, their husbands need to watch to know when a woman is pissed she is pissed. Thanks for a… Read more »
It,s about time.
I am a huge fan of both shows, but I do have one small suggestion. A few years back I watched a previous syndicated crossover show between Hawaii Five-0 and NCIS: Los Angeles. It was aired on Hawaii Five-o and the huge disappointment was when it said “To Be Continued on NCIS: Los Angeles.” I suggest whenever this goes into syndication, on Hawaii Five-o that you include the episode from Magnum P.I. in with those shows. Then likewise when Magnum P.I. goes into syndication.
I don’t think magnum is one good idea wit Five0
Cause no look right, raised in hawaii, Aiea area,
I watched da original Five O and Magnum back in da dates, was all good, I still watch Five O, but
No can stand da New magnum, look fake, junk
Waste time….I know da one to watch anyway!!
Aloha….dakine Ilocanostyle
Interesting since several years ago, they made a humorous scene on Hawaii Five-O referencing the original Magnum, PI TV series. Complete with helicopter and theme music, they mused who would be which character.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I hate it when writers can’t remember what they wrote.
