Airing on The CW on Monday nights, Jane the Virgin has received some of the best reviews of the season. Will the show’s ratings reflect the positive response? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
Jane the Virgin revolves around a driven 23-year-old woman (Gina Rodriguez) who’s studying to become a teacher, nursing a dream to be a writer, and supporting herself with a job at a hot new Miami hotel. Her world is turned upside down when she becomes pregnant — without ever having sex. The rest of the cast includes Andrea Navedo, Justin Baldoni, Yael Grobglas, Brett Dier, Ivonne Coll, and Jaime Camil.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically the following morning, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
1/11 update: Jane the Virgin and seven other shows have been renewed for the 2015-16 season.
Final season averages: 0.48 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.20 million total viewers.

The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

Good show for 10 year old girls or old people watching soap opera all day long” in all honest Bridget Regan should have passed that role, huge waste of her talent
A true disgrace to Hispanic women and our culture. Why is it that a Hispanic women cannot be the star of a show without being pregnant, a maid, or promiscuous?! I can’t believe something so insulting got picked up by a network.
I agree, this show is demeaning to women in general. I will not watch it for that reason
