A Netflix historical drama, The Last Kingdom stars Alexander Dreymon, David Dawson, Emily Cox, Tobias Santelmann, Harry McEntire, Joseph Millson, Björn Bengtsson, and Ian Hart. An adaptation of Bernard Cornwell’s novel series, The Saxon Stories, the historical drama follows Uhtred of Bebbanburg (Dreymon), the son of a 9th Century Saxon nobleman. After killing his father, Danish invaders kidnap the boy and he is raised by their warlord, Ragnar. Years later, when Ragnar is killed, Uhtred vows to avenge him and reclaim his birthright. In season three, both King Alfred’s (Dawson) health and his dreams of a united England are fading. Meanwhile, Uhtred must take command and confront a new threat — Danish warlord Sigrid (Bengtsson).

Please RENEW. I don’t even own a tv & have started to watch Netflix on my iPad after a 4 year break from tv. It’s a show like this that is the only reason to watch tv.

This is a lot better than the lord of the rings and the hobbit in my opinion
Fantastic series. Have not seen anything so good for a long time, and I mean a long time 9the original Poldark for me). We must have some more!!
Absolutely worth renewing for additional seasons. Excellent story lines. Characters one can feel intensely. Realistic portrayals of emotions between characters. Historical context. The Last Kingdom is a series that can watched again and again. But this watcher would love to see the stories continue on in seasons 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10!

I love this show. I binged watched it last year and now finished season 3. During the conversation with Alfred and Uhtred just how much love there is between them. Although they have had a love hate relationship in the end Alfred finally shows how much he does love Uhtred by giving him a pardon. Alfred loves him like a son. The acting is superb between the two characters. Please continue with many more seasons. I want to see Uhtred find his happiness especially now that he is free. I’m glad he killed the witch because I didn’t like her.
Please renew this series! Everything about it is excellent.
The show follows the books and I read and loved every one of them. Please do not cancel.
I tell every one I know that, yes, Game of Thrones is a wonderful show, but if you want the real story with one fictional character (and his family) then watch The Last Kingdom. It’s the real deal!!

I stopped watching halfway through episode 5. Absolutely terrible. The lazy writing and ridiculous plot forcing him back to Alfred. Alfred tried to kill me, so I’ll re-join my family. Now I’m gonna betray my family to save Alfred’s daughter. Now I’m gonna give up Skade to save Alfred’s daughter. ****, now I need an army to get Skade back. I know – I’ll go to Alfred for an army. **** wit. Screw this show.
I thought nothing would ever compare to my love of Game of Thrones, oh how wrong I was! The Last Kingdom has completely earned my trust. Season 3 episode 9 blew me away. I could feel the connection between Uhtred and Alfred so vividly. It is very rare that I will sit in front of my television on a work night and binge until 3am. But that is what happens when a show is done right. And oh how I sobbed when Thyra… well, I wont spoil it. But I hope there are many more seasons to come!

We will not be able to see Season 3 until later this year when it comes out on DVD, but we like it as much as Game of Thrones, considering that it does not have near the budget, so give us 12 more seasons! Uhtred’s accent makes the show.
It was a good series. Good storylines. Bring back another season 4, 5, 6…
