While fans of Magic City are understandably upset by the show’s cancellation, Starz CEO Chris Albrecht recently explained that the decision wasn’t a difficult one when it came to finances.
At the TCA press tour, he said, “It was a fine show but it was extremely expensive. It had decent audience but distributors weren’t interested in co-marketing it with us, and we felt season two had a pretty reasonable and satisfying landing spot.”
Magic City revolves around the world of Miami’s Miramar Playa Hotel in 1959. The TV series stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Olga Kurylenko, and Danny Huston, with Steven Strait, Christian Cooke, Jessica Marais, Yul Vazquez, Dominik Garcia-Lorido, Kelly Lynch, and Elena Satine.

Yes, please bring back Season 3, as well as all the seasons. Just an amazing show! So sorry to see it end. They really should bring it back & start fresh. There are so many fans!!!
Not a cookie cutter series and was fun, interesting, and entertaining to watch. Would continue to watch if it were still on. Way better than most of the trite junk or reality crap that passes for entertainment now, but that apparently is the world we live in these days.
Normally I do not watch a show with only 2 seasons but I love JDM so I checked it out so glad I did , Please some other network pick this back up!!!!!!!!

I’m a huge walking dead fan, I absolutely fell in love with negans personality and how good the actor was, I got on Netflix and searched up Jeffrey’s dean morgan (negan’s character) and found Magic City. I LOVED it. Very disappointed the show got cancelled, definitely would love to see much more. I feel as if there’s much more to tell about the show.

Just found this show on Netflix and started to watch it. It is so good I can’t believe it ran only two seasons.
This series, Magic City, should’ve never been cancelled. This was an exceptionally enjoyable series with every episode leaving the viewer in anticipation of the next.

Wife and I just binged watched the series. Could not believe we never heard of the show for 3 years. Someone did not do their job of advertising this series. Great show great music brought back fond memories of the late 50s and early 60’s. Let’s bring it back!!!
