It seems to be truly the end of the road for the Manifest TV series. NBC cancelled the drama series earlier this month and now, efforts to find a new home have ended.
An action-drama series, the Manifest TV show stars Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Jack Messina, Parveen Kaur, Matt Long, and Holly Taylor. After a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers of Flight 828 disembarked to find the world had aged more than five years. Their friends, families, and colleagues had given up hope of ever seeing them again. In season three, faced with the impossible, the passengers’ dreams of a second chance at life evaporate as they encounter imminent dangers surrounding them, both tangible and unexplained. In season three, new challenges will test the Stone family’s trust of “the callings” and each other. Sticking together is more important than ever, because no matter what happens, it’s all connected.
The third season of Manifest averaged a 0.47 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.07 million viewers in the live+same day ratings. Compared to season two, that’s down by 31% in the demo and down by 21% in viewership.
Netflix was considered the most viable option, especially since the first two seasons of the show were the streaming service’s most-watched acquired series for a week.
Deadline reports that Netflix had been in extended discussions with Warner Bros. TV (which co-produces the series) about picking up the show but the streamer ultimately passed.
Because reviving Manifest with another outlet would entail navigating already negotiated digital rights, as well as cast options that have expired, Warner Bros. TV is said to have concluded their efforts to keep the show going.
Here are some reactions from the show’s creator and some of its cast:

While Manifest is over, for now, this is an age of revivals and reboots. So, it seems entirely possible that this mystery series could return in some way in the future.
What do you think? Were you hoping that Manifest would be saved somehow? Do you think that this show will be revived someday in the future?
Please finish up this series!! We are devoted fans and was so happy to view season 1 and 2 on Netflix then got to view season 3 on demand. Do the ratings count on this way of watching?
manifest is good super good ..love that show ..keep it coming ..
So unhappy about the show being canceled. All of the followers of the show knew it was designed around six seasons. It offered a sci-fi mystery beyond belief. Frankly, I am considering boycotting NBC. They should bring it back.
One of the best shows I’ve ever watched. I became so connected to these characters and this story that I feel hurt down to my very core. I really wanted to see them all uncover all of the mysteries that Flight 828 held and I can’t believe it’s all over just like that.
It was the best show on TV and the disappointment is off the charts. At least could Mr. rake tell us what would have happened had it not been canceled. Dumb move of the network
This sucks. I can’t believe no other network will pick it up. It’s horrible to end a show before it’s truly meant to end. I was so looking forward to season 4, 5, and 6…you know, seeing it through to their predicted death date…6-2-24 and that following the callings all this time proved they’d survive past it.
I think it stinks that it’s canceled! Every great show gets canceled, then they keep all these ridiculous reality shows. Manifest was exciting, interesting, always kept u guessing. And to end the show, where it ends is a terrible thing to do to us fans!
I am pretty upset about this. After all shows that I’ve watched have been cancelled or ended I finally found one and now it’s not being revived. So upsetting.
I stop watching after season 2 it was dragged out way too much.
I’m REALLY angry when they do this.
At least do ONE MORE episode to close out the series!
Sad, really sad. But I blame people who made that show. You can’t plan a 6 season series without having contract for them first.
I can’t believe Manifest has been cancelled and not picked up again by NBC or a streaming service. I hate that the story left us with a cliffhanger and no conclusion to the story. This makes me want to give up mainstream television. I find a show I like then to find it’s been cancelled makes me continue to only watch streaming shows. Manifest was the only show I watched on mainstream television; apparently it will be my last.
So sad to see it go. Yes, I would have watched season four. And five and six. Yes, give us a two hour movie to wrap it up at least. Poor Grace was stabbed and Cal aged up real fast! Come on!
UGH! I know right! I would have watched 10 more seasons! Not to mention that Eden was STOLEN! I need to know how Ben takes Grace’s death. I need to know how this all ends!
Gotta say I’m a little relieved we wont be subjected to six seasons of ‘callings’. A final episode to tie up loose ends with a definite conclusion would be nice though.
I’m not shocked it didn’t get picked up by the streaming world but I do think they at least owe us a movie for a way to finish it off properly. It worked for Timeless so we know it can be done. Please consider.
if it couldnt draw enough viewer’s for free on nbc or free netflix customer’s , why in the world would they waste money on a movie!?
Well it Drew better than the stupid new comedies and that crappy medical drama they’ve been airing on Tuesday nights, the name escapes me since it was sooooo forgettable.
