It seems to be truly the end of the road for the Manifest TV series. NBC cancelled the drama series earlier this month and now, efforts to find a new home have ended.
An action-drama series, the Manifest TV show stars Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Jack Messina, Parveen Kaur, Matt Long, and Holly Taylor. After a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers of Flight 828 disembarked to find the world had aged more than five years. Their friends, families, and colleagues had given up hope of ever seeing them again. In season three, faced with the impossible, the passengers’ dreams of a second chance at life evaporate as they encounter imminent dangers surrounding them, both tangible and unexplained. In season three, new challenges will test the Stone family’s trust of “the callings” and each other. Sticking together is more important than ever, because no matter what happens, it’s all connected.
The third season of Manifest averaged a 0.47 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.07 million viewers in the live+same day ratings. Compared to season two, that’s down by 31% in the demo and down by 21% in viewership.
Netflix was considered the most viable option, especially since the first two seasons of the show were the streaming service’s most-watched acquired series for a week.
Deadline reports that Netflix had been in extended discussions with Warner Bros. TV (which co-produces the series) about picking up the show but the streamer ultimately passed.
Because reviving Manifest with another outlet would entail navigating already negotiated digital rights, as well as cast options that have expired, Warner Bros. TV is said to have concluded their efforts to keep the show going.
Here are some reactions from the show’s creator and some of its cast:

While Manifest is over, for now, this is an age of revivals and reboots. So, it seems entirely possible that this mystery series could return in some way in the future.
What do you think? Were you hoping that Manifest would be saved somehow? Do you think that this show will be revived someday in the future?
nice to see it getting canceled. it was dragging for too long and lost its viewership.
It had strong vibes of the last season of Lost, but during every season.
producers hated their audience and result was kinda expected.
I am upset that Manifest is canceled. Can they please do a 2 hour special for a final ending at least? They owe it to the viewers. We want to know what happened
I’m going to cancel my NETFLIX . It’s a hit show and you’re passing on it . GET REAL NETFLIX!!!!
I watched the first two seasons of Manifest on Netflix. Didn’t even know there was a third season. Hopefully, I get to see it on a stream network. But sucks to hear Netflix and Warner Bros. Couldn’t work it out! NBC cancelled the Original Star Trek series after 3 seasons in the 60’s, only to become the biggest Cult franchise in TV history, with multiple spin-offs, movies, conventions, merchandising and name branding bar none! Who knows, about Manifest, we can only wait and see!
Whyyyyyyyy would they cancel thissss
They have a new reality show lined up.
Isn’t that what everyone wants?
Noooo I don’t like reality shows! That isn’t what I want for sure!
I cannot believe the show is canceled. Season three was the best season and left the most cliffhangers to pretty much guarantee veiwers to watch season 4. I am sure they would have had plenty of new viewers watching season 4 after how well it did on Netflix.
I’m very disappointed. Especially since NBC renewed a few lower rated shows including, for some reason The Blacklist, which had half of the ratings and half the viewership of Manifest. If NBC was smart, they would have renewed it and moved it to Peacock kind of like CBS did with Seal Team where they renewed it and moved it to Paramount+. The cancellation of Manifest and NCIS: New Orleans gives me less reason to invest time in Network TV outside of the CW which tends to renew all of their shows.
Yes at least have a season 4. The show is to good to have ended it that way.
Very disappointed! First at NBC for cancelling the show in the middle of a story that will now never be resolved and then also at Netflix ,who didn’t see the potential possibility for the continuation of a show that has been successful already over their platform. I will now be very reluctant to become heavily invested in a TV show on a network with the continued fear of early-cancellation. This happens one too many times. I am not even interested in the new slate of shows for 2021 – 2022. Especially dramas that have an ongoing storyline.
I agree with you on being reluctant on getting invested in a show. My two favorite shows, Manifest and NCIS: New Orleans, were both cancelled for lower rated crappy shows, and not one of the new shows on any network look any good.
There should be some commitment to fans to at least make a final movie or resume a season four with an ending and answers to questions. A show this intense should not just go away like this. Please tell me there is some heart left at Warner Bros.
Heck It! I’m rewatching this show on Netflix as many times as it takes for them to pick up Manifest, and revive it like Zeke on his Death Date!
I AM FURIOUS!!!! IT’S NOT FAIR! I BINGED WATCHED THIS SHOW AND SOAKED IN EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF IT AND NOW I DON’T GET TO FIND OUT HOW IT ENDS?? Warning Spoilers Ahead I FIND OUT THAT GRACE DIED, CAL SOMEHOW GREW OLDER AND SAID HE KNEW WHAT HE HAD TO DO NOW. EDEN HAS BEEN STOLEN. I MEAN SEROUSLY I NEED CLOSURE!!!!!!!! WHAT HAPPENED? I MUST KNOW!!! I NEED THIS SHOW REVIVED NOW!! NOT TO MENTION THE DEATH DATE LOOMING OVER THEIR HEADS!! I WANT THIS SHOW REVIVED AND I WANT A PETITION TO REVIVE IT!!!!!!!! (please note, I… Read more »
