Are you watching Manifest? Recently, creator Jeff Rake spoke with Page Six about his hopes for the future of the NBC TV show.
The freshman drama revolves around the passengers of a routine airline flight that goes missing — and then reappears. The cast includes Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Jack Messina, and Parveen Kaur.
Speaking to Page Six, Rake revealed he’s “optimistic” NBC will renew Manifest for a second season:
I haven’t heard anything yet about a Season 2 pickup but I’m optimistic. We do well. The studio and the network like the show.”
A season two renewal seems likely for Manifest given the show’s positive ratings. So far, season one is averaging a 1.27 rating in the 18-49 demo and 6.557 million viewers.

Absolutely love this show! Can’t wait for season 2, wish it were on more then 1x a week. I could watch it every day, even 2-3x a week.

You just have to watch. I have been hooked since the very first show. There are so many things that happened last night. WE NEED THIS TO CONTINUE SOONER RATHER THAN LATER.
The premise and various plots in this series is very good, but the script and acting is sometimes embarrassing, cringe stuff, almost amateur. It started of strong, but lost its footing very fast. Not a series I would rush home to see, more like “on demand” or Hulu on a lazy night. Season one is averaging a 1.27 rating in the 18-49 demo and 6.557 million viewers, so it probably will be renewed, but I would not be shocked if it was not.
Do not cancel MANIFEST. Best show I’ve seen in a long time. Creator has 1 hell of an imagination. Keep up the good work. C u 4 season 2.
Please cancel it as soon as possible, it is the worst show I’ve ever watched and bought through iTunes and I’m regreting everyday what i did.
Acting with noob actors is so horrible and story is boring and stupid like whispers, touching hands…
I won’t pay any cent if it gets renewed and cut my support as legal viewer for being in the ratings.
Nevertheless, it is better to get rid of this annoying show right now.
Get more creative and stop being so predictable. Fire your entire writing staff. It’s a Great idea for a show, but most people are staying tuned in I believe only to know what happened to the gosh darn plane!
We’ve become fully engrossed with Manifest! We not only watch it, but record it on DVR too! We’re very excited about season two!
