CBS hit paydirt with their NCIS spin-off, NCIS: Los Angeles. Will they find similar ratings success with NCIS: New Orleans? Will this one be a hit and be quickly renewed for a second season? Will it flop and be cancelled? Stay tuned.
NCIS: New Orleans revolves around the local field office in New Orleans, investigating criminal cases that affect military personnel. Special Agent Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) leads the team. The rest of the cast includes Lucas Black, Zoe McLellan, C. C. H. Pounder, Rob Kerkovich, and Paige Turco.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
1/12 update: Madam Secretary and two other shows have been renewed for a second season by CBS.
Final season averages: 2.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 15.26 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the NCIS: New Orleans TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Hate to tell you guys this but those are not fake accents. Have you ever lived in Alabama and parts of Louisiana.?
I type the same thing over and over. People are so used to the “fake Hollywood southern accent,” they don’t recognize a rel one when they hear it. And there is MORE THAN ONE southern accent. Georgia boys talk different than Florida than SC , Than AR etc etc just like folks from Boston speak different then New Yorkers, Chicago, LA, Seattle, Wisconsin….
I LOVE THIS SHOW!! it was just hard for it to compete with THE VOICE the first season. Give it a Chance!!!
The show down right sucks. I won’t watch it. The fake accents worst acting and in New Orleans of all places???? I like the other NCIS shows this one sucks.
I love the new NCIS New Orleans!! Please do not cancel this show!! It is one of the best new shows on TV.
I agree; it’s a great show. I’ve loved Scott Baklua since Quantum Leap, Enterprise and Necessary Roughness. And I’ve loved Lucas Black since SlingBlade as a cute kid and as an adult in Seven Days in Utopia and Get Low. Both actors are great. I think the accents are better than most New Orleans shows I’ve seen. And anyway, Lucas’ accent is adorable, as is he. Of course, I’m old enough to be his grandmother; but he seems like a sweetie pie that would be a wonderful grandson and son. I hope the show continues.
NCIS NEW ORLEANS IS BRILLIANT. I LOVE THE CHARACTERS. AND PLOTS BUT I TOO HATE THE FAKE ACCENTS. DON’T. WANT IT CANCELLED.
It’s quite apparent that none of you haters know what you’re talking about, so get over yourselves and get a life.
hitting new lows so it looks like we do know what we are talking about
so NCIS Red was a back door pilot out of the LA show and everyone hated it. But it had a 2,7 or so rating for its pilot. This show is out of the mothership and is supposed to be all that and a bag of chips yet it has a 2.3 rating. Isn’t 2.3 less than 2.7? and at this point last year the LA show had a 2.6/7 rating. so I guess NO isn’t what they thought it would be. Still pulling in numbers. just not what they thought I would imagine
Still blitzing it’s competition in the timeslot, dopey drawers. And climbing.
not climbing any more SERIES LOW and going lower
I really have liked Scott Bakula’s TV shows. Sorry to say this one is terrible. His southern accent is terrible. Not sure who is teaching that to him, possibly a Canadian? Any how wish they would find a show for him that he can speak normal and would do Well. He is a Actor I would like to see with a GOOD SHOW. Not this garbage.
I see I am not the only one who cringes when he talks. I watched the first part of the backdoor pilot, that was enough for me. I follow the ratings and comments to see if something will catch my eye and make me tune in but so far nothing.
my apologies, I also watched the 1st ep this year,
better be glad this thing is on after the mothership or it would be cancelled. a 2.2? really? this show will be in the ones by christmas
I have seen the first episode and thought it was quite brilliant. I have seen a few of the original NCIS, and was not at all stimulated by them, and even the NOLA backdoor pilot double ep was a little rushed and poorly produced. But will definitely be setting the DVR to catch all the eps of NCIS: NOLA from now on.
I do not like NOLA, but I can not get enough of NCIS and NCIS LA. The characters are developed very well and the script the actors have to follow is terrible. I hope this changes but after 3 episodes I am not very hopeful. I will watch something else next Tuesday.
Really didn’t like NCIS: New Orleans first episode, even though I absolutely love the original two. NCIS: NO feels insignificant. The other two have established offices, with telecommunications that are state of art, many employees, a serious attitude — it feels navy. This new one does not. It’s almost like we’re looking at Gibb’s other basement room! Will try one or two more episodes, but if it will be five employees in what seems like a garage, and the main characters are worried about the politicians in the city, this will fail.
why is NCIS worried about a local politician. if you think they guy is dirty, you turn the info over to the state police or FBI. Not NCIS’ job. is NCIS NO going to be the local PD now as well? and is this going to be the season long arc, how a dirty NO politician is ruining clown boys city? his city? really? and you think there is only one corrupt local official in town? every city has dozens on both sides of the aisle. gawd awful show, may not give it the two episode test. no way it… Read more »
I was enjoying the premier of NCIS New Orleans when channel 4 in El Paso, Tx. went off. I was so mad at the Tv channel because Tuesday night is my favorite tv night.
So, NCIS NO is a hit with a 2.5 demo, but NCIS Red a few years ago with a 2.7 demo was a flop? I guess times have changed.
This likely will be a hit and renewed, but I don’t find anything enjoyable about listening to fake accents and rehashed plot lines.
