Can Doctor Goodwin change the medical system — and get people to watch the NBC series? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like New Amsterdam is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustrated that their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all the season one episodes of New Amsterdam. *Status update below.
A medical drama series, New Amsterdam stars Ryan Eggold, Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Anupam Kher, and Tyler Labine. Doctor Max Goodwin (Eggold) is a caring and charming physician whose goal is to fix a broken medical system and to provide exceptional care to the people who need it most. He inspires (almost) everyone around him, and will stop at nothing to breathe new life into the understaffed, underfunded and underappreciated hospital.

New Amsterdam is one of the best new shows on TV along with The FBI. Our family enjoys both of these shows.
This show is very good I hope they dont cancel it. It seems like every time a good show comes out and you start to like it then it gets canceled. They have more reality shows on tv than actual tv shows. It’s getting to where you dont want to even watch to watch tv. It’s nice to be able to come home and for just a little bit forget about the crap that you have gone thru at work or the crap day you had by watching Amsterdam. So dont cancel it.
I love this show. I feel this show is very relevant to our medical system and shows much of the interaction involved in patient care. Please do not cancel the show. Much needed new down to earth show on TV

I started off watching Good Doctor. But New Amsterdam is SO much better. The writers must be extremely talented. Please keep it up as long as you can. This is the only show I don’t miss. And I only watch 2 or three shows a week as I don’t have cable or satellite tv.
This is a wonderful show that shows how real a doctor and his staff can be. I hope it will be renewed.
I absolutely love this show, but I am all about the medical shows anyway that really have some reason for being, and this is one of them. Please do not cancel. The season finale was terrible, though. Out by a lake, he passes out on the dock and neither he nor his wife has a cell phone along? Seriously…that was stupid. And BTW I also bought the book upon which this series is written…called Twelve Patients (more to the title but I cannot remember it all).
I LOVE New Amsterdam!!! One of the best medical shows I have seen in a long time. Its new, refreshing, its current & relevant. It is my hope this show will be renewed for many seasons to come.
Meh. Not one of the better medical shows in my opinion. Won’t lose any sleep if its cancelled. Find the main character not very engaging

I just love New Amsterdam! The cast interacts well with each other, a chemistry so to speak. It is hard to have to wait 1 week between episodes. I like the way the show gives the human side of doctors and nurses
