The Powells may have super powers but they weren’t strong enough to save their TV series. No Ordinary Family has been cancelled after one season on the air.
No Ordinary Family revolves around suburban family who, while on vacation, crash into Amazon River and gain special abilities. The cast includes Michael Chiklis, Julie Benz, Autumn Reeser, Jimmy Bennett, Kay Panabaker, Tate Donovan, Christina Chang, and Romany Malco.
The drama had a decent debut last September with a 3.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 10.69 million total viewers. Unfortunately, the ratings didn’t stay at that level and dropped by 16% in week two and then 15% in week three. The numbers kept declining and went as low as a 1.2 demo rating and just 4.26 million viewers in March.

The network cut the episode order but it was already clear by that point that the show was finished. ABC pre-empted one installment and bumped the penultimate episode to Saturday nights, an evening when few are watching. The first season of No Ordinary Family ended up averaging a 1.8 in the demo and 6.4 million viewers, making it one of the lowest dramas of the ABC season.
ABC has now officially cancelled No Ordinary Family. All 20 episodes have aired. Hopefully, at some point, the producers will share what they had planned for the future of the series.

I been looking to see if no ordinary family going to come on in the uk but now i can see now after 1 season they not going to be on I did like this . as at the end the daughter had powers so it be good if all them had the powers and have it not to violent .
I really was enjoying this show I didn’t know it only had 1 season why did they cancel that is crazy……
Please don’t stop the show, I really really ;like it, i got so addicted just after i finished episode 1,2 and 3, please continue the show!!!
I really, really liked that show. Due to my lack of cable I’m just now seeing this show on Hulu. I didn’t know it had been canceled and have been sitting around waiting for the next season. I would truly enjoy to be surprised by a second season of this show.

Please take on season 2. It’s such a feel-good family series and there is seriously, so few of that left…No Ordinary Family and Terra Nova season 2 would be a dream come true!

When i started the movie i was a bit appalled, but later on i became completely engrossed in the movies. Its disappointing that we won’t get tobsee season 2. Would have loved to know more about how the Powell family caught the bad guys and the manifestation of the powers of George and the baby.

This show is so awesome! Each actor totally matches their character ! Dudes! Seriously why was this show cancelled? If it wasn’t for my sisters addiction to buying DVDs , I would’ve never even known about it! It ROCKS! Should’ve fired whoever was in charge of advertising and promos! I know if I had seen this back in 2010, I wouldve totally been an no ordinary family junkie for sure ! I cannot believe the series would end in such a cliffhanger for their audience! It’s an audience that rounded average to 6.4 million viewers and probably more to this day, not a audience of 20 people. Heck! I just finished the series and I’ve started watching this a few days ago! This show is amazing and has a brilliant concept. In fact it can still run on this day with a different story like SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!! Joshua’s Baby and the baby when he/she is a teen…. Usually tv series can’t continue with a different concept.
