Canoe Believe It? –Monday, May 6, 2019 10:00 PM ET/PT
Grace Mitchell meets a couple who recently purchased a Midcentury Modern lake house with a rich history but in desperate need of some work. She begins by creating a unique kitchen backsplash made from the wood of a basketball court as a tribute to where the couple first met before giving Mr. Charlie the hefty task of hanging custom canoe light holders from the 16-foot ceilings. The exterior of the home also gets an entire revamp that turns the formerly decrepit party house into a family home rich with the couple’s love for each other and for the water.”
What do you think? Have you seen One of a Kind? What have been your favorite renovations?
5/2/19 update: A representative has let us know that the press release was inaccurate. This will be the “season finale”, not the “series finale”.
Great new show. One of a kind. Also love hometown and good bones! Still miss Candace Olson and Scott mcgillivrey on income property
She needs to stop laughing when things are not funny. What’s With calling everyone Mr. or Mrs. the contractors. She acts flaky
This is my favorite HGTV show! Grace and crew are so interesting and talented! And I love that each home is different and they have so much personality! She really reflects home owners! Can she come see me????
So sad to hear this, thought the show was a breath of
fresh, creative air.
One of a Kind is awesome It would be crazy to cancel it
I Love One of a Kind! Please tell me it’s coming back.
Grace & her team are Awesome! LOVE Mr. Rick
I love “One of a Kind” with Grace & her team!! Please keep it coming. Refreshingly unique. Picking up some great ideas also.
My daughter and I record, then watch Sat mornings and text back and forth. Grace is sweet but the real fun are her contractors. Thirty minutes is too short for a show and the season ended too quickly. Grace does unique things to homes that personalize to the owners instead of HER style. While we don’t agree with all she does (daughter isn’t keen on wallpaper, I thought it sacrilege to wreck that canoe), she isn’t all about “the demo!” Already wrote to HGTV to extend her show and that was before I found out the season ended.
PLEASE don’t cancel “One of a Kind”. I love to see what Grace has up her sleeve for each house she renovates. It’s always something special and beautiful and she has such a wonderful personality. It’s contagious!
LOVE Grace Mitchell and her designs on One of a Kind. Not typical remodel show and so glad it is more personal to the owners! So tired of Fixer Upper and copy cats! Happy to see Grace is coming back. HGTV needs some really good garden shows (and I don’t mean vegetables) but beautiful gardens around homes.
Love this show ❤️ and all the people on it, especially Grace, of course qp
Really love this show and team. The fact that she gets to know the family and incorporates their hobbies, etc into the design, really makes it special.
Amazing Grace…the story line and the gorgeous fireplace and kitchen. Loved the plates!
Seems fun. Not your typical design.
Saw it once. Was not impressed.
