Will Outlander have another season? Entertainment Weekly reports there are ongoing talks to renew the Starz TV show for a fifth season.
The historical drama follows Claire (Caitriona Balfe), a WWII nurse who is transported to 18th century Scotland. The cast also includes Sam Heughan, Tobias Menzies, Graham McTavish, Gary Lewis, Annette Badland, Stephen Walters, and Laura Donnelly.
On EW Radio, Sony TV’s Chris Parnell revealed they are currently discussing an early season five renewal for Outlander. The Starz series has already been greenlit for a fourth season, which is slated to debut in 2018.
From Parnell:
“In order to keep this show year by year and not have a Droughtlander, we had better start hustling on season 5 right now. I can tell you there are early talks on us doing that, to absolutely not have an extended Droughtlander like we’ve had before. That’s the goal.
I’ll tell you that I’m in this to tell Diana’s story to completion. We want to deliver Outlander all the way through, just like Diana wants to deliver it all the way through. Where she leads it, we want to bring it there. I believe in my heart that our friends at Starz want to do the same thing. The worst thing that can happen is if we ended this prematurely.”

Please renew Outlander for all the books…having read all the books, it would be a disservice to everyone that wants to follow these characters to the end…Diana Gabaldon is a genius in storytelling and to end in the beginning of this beautiful story would be very frustrating if not heartbreaking. Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan have brought these characters to life to all the readers and to the TV audience!!!

Love love love this show. It is the only reason I keep Starz. Ron Moore has done a fantastic job with this show. I am eagerly waiting on season 4.
This show is on of the best I have ever seen. I live in the UK so we always get it one day later than the USA. Having told Claire and Jamie’s story so far it would be criminal to not carry on through the rest of the books . So please let’s have Seasons 4,5,6,7,8.

The series is brilliant but having read the books I am a bit concerned about book 5 which is the worst of the series. Serious rewriting needed. But it would be a shame to stop there as book 6 is one of the best. Love it anyway.

I just started watching Outlander! Loved it so much I spent ever tv watching moment catching up on all the episodes I missed! Yes please continue with season 5 of Outlander!!!!
Please Please– renew my all time favorite tv show. I don’t know what to do during the draught as it is. But at least I have the next season to look forward to. If it cancels I will loose my mind. If so so shows like Law & order can go on forever than outlander should go on longer than forever !!!!

Yes please. You would need the actors on board though. No leaving to do other tthings. It would never work if you have to recast Claire and Jamie!
Yes i would like outlander to keep going it’s brillantly well done by the writers and the cast I have no complaints, season three is brilliant and had me on the edge of my seat and crying in parts to I think Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe need to congratulate on their performance as well as the rest of the cast I like this series because they stick to the books but also give the actors room to perform their on take on the scene and it shows they do this by how good season three is , ,so please… Read more »
I would love to have a Season 5, 6 and so on. I love historically based shows and this fills the bill to a T. The characters and their story are beautifully written and even when the series strays from the books it is done well. I have become addicted. I only hope another book is written to keep it going.

rate, so it can never be boring. And so much eye candy. Bring it on!
OUTLANDER is the most exciting show on TV with an outstanding ensemble cast. The day it ends is the day I won’t need Starz any longer.
Outlander is the best that TV has to offer…intelligent, exciting, surprising, extremely well cast, produced, written, directed. Adaptations are difficult at best but the books from which the series is taken have sold into the 20 millions of copies. Smartest series STARZ has acquired so far. The full story needs to be told

Yes, Please renew Outlander have seen every episode through Season 3 and love this show. This show has swept the country for dedicated fans, Love Cait and Sam no other pair can play Jamie and Claire they are the best. Please renew as long as there are books available.
