What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, The Resident stars Matt Czuchry, Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal, Moran Atias, Merrin Dungey, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Melina Kanakaredes, and Bruce Greenwood. The medical drama centers on Dr. Devon Pravesh (Dayal), a newly minted resident, as well as Senior Resident Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Czuchry), and their colleagues at the Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. Although its motto is, “Committed to excellence,” the hospital is staffed with human beings, and humans are flawed. Now that Devon is on the other side of the institution’s velvet ropes, Conrad wants him to understand the reality of medicine and its delivery.

Will FOX cancel or renew The Resident for season two? Other than the special premiere, the ratings haven’t been very good. My gut tells me to put on my eating pants and prepare fans for the prospect of cancellation but FOX has lots of ratings woes so it could be renewed. love the series and looking forward to watch season 2
Huge high five to FOX for renewing this remarkable hospital drama! I love Bruce Greenwood and he’s so good in this, I hate him now! Matt Czuchry, Emily Van Camp, and Manish Dayal as the three main characters around which the drama revolves are outstanding from the beginning. I did not perceive the liberal politics I read about on reviews on IMDB and am a conservative leaning independent. I saw great stories, great acting, continuity, and a real understanding about what the hospitals have turned into today after the failed Obamacare and nothing to take its place.
