There are at least two sides to every story — and there will be at least two seasons of The Affair on Showtime. The cable channel has renewed their new drama for a second season. The 10 episodes will start airing in 2015.
On The Affair, follows the emotional effects of an extramarital relationship between two troubled married people — a New York City schoolteacher/novelist and a young waitress — and is told from their very different perspectives. The show stars Dominic West, Maura Tierney, Ruth Wilson, and Joshua Jackson.
The series debuted on October 12th to 507,000 viewers in its initial airing. Viewership grew slightly in the second week and has been growing ever since. Last week’s episode drew 692,000 viewers.
The 10th and final installment of the first season of The Affair is expected to air on December 21st.
Fellow Sunday night series, Homeland, was also renewed by Showtime today.
What do you think? Do you like The Affair TV show on Showtime? Do plan to keep watching?
I love the show , please keep it going.
Fabulous show – great sets, great actors, this is pure class!
I starting watching it a couple weeks ago, now can’t get enough. The best thing on Showtime in a while. Please. Don’t cancel the show. Want more thankyou
Love the show. Never know what will happen next. The mystery keeps u guessing. Very good acting
I love this show. Wish it came on more than one night a week. I watch the reruns over and over. I love Noah. He is so very sexy. Love his intellect, his mannerism, his curly hair, his size, his height and his very masculine voice and facial features. From what I can see, he is very good in bed. Lots of hip action going on. I don’t think that trait can be taught in acting – must be that way in real life. OMG love this man.
I cant believe Im not the only one who watches the reruns over and over! Im so happy to read that its coming back next season. Ive been leaning towards Noah also, but this past episode has me caring more about Cole. I really like all four of them. Thats what makes this series so different. There are no bad guys in this “foursome” Im beginning to think that Noah deliberately ran Scotty down because of Whitney now. I cant believe I am so involved in a tv series.
Love this show so much, I look forward to watching it every Sunday!!!! It’s so exciting!
Since I had family who lived where this show was set on Long Island, I was intrigued enough to DVR the first 2 episodes. I finally got the time to view them just as the third episode was to be aired. I have a Shore home in a similar community on the Jersey Shore. It was at that home I had the chance to finally watch the show . “The Affair” captured the very sense of Shore vacations, Long Island, Florida or otherwise. And captured the sense of those who are “locals” – the Oscars, The Alisons & the Lockharts.… Read more »
love the show love the players they are perfect
I love this show! I found it in a dark place in my own life. You see, my own husband passed away unexpectedly on September 29. So, when the show premiered on October 12, I really needed something to distract myself from all of my worries. Needless to say, I found it! Every Sunday night since I turn on television to see these characters and I follow them into their world for an hour of sometimes bliss & sometimes sorrow…..I love it! I’m so looking forward to Season 2! Please bring back more love scenarios for old times sake…this old… Read more »

Love this show!!! Hope there’s many more seasons to come…
Tivo’ed but have yet to watch a single episode. Thinking I will wait and then power watch it.
My husband and I are hooked. The story keeps you wanting more. Looking forward to a second season!
I love this show. I am a fan even before it aired. Have never missed an episode. Sometimes a married couple feel too safe, and it only takes a smile, a compliment, or a strong man to shake the earth under your feet. I was never unfaithful to my late husband, but the temptation did enter my mind. Sorry to see who the victim is, he died in Arrow. We still need to know how, and who got married.
I watch this every week and hope that it continues. It is interesting to see two people who are disgruntled with their current marriages try to hit things off for a new relationship. They show both sides of the extra marital event and you can see why both of them a hoping for something better and more enjoyable. When your partner takes you for granted, it can seem to be enjoyable with some one fresh. I am sure a lot of married people can watch this program and relate to what is going on. I am single, but have been… Read more »
Took me a while to get my arms around this one, two or three shows, but I’m now pretty into it, the subtle “two story” approach is a little risky for tv but it’s working, especially now we know who the murder victim is (hint: it wasn’t who you thought and that makes for some good suspense).
