Last season, The CW renewed all but one of its regular season shows. This season, the network is holding its regular slate of shows until mid-season, due to the pandemic. Will that delay affect how many shows on The CW will be cancelled or renewed during the 2020-21 season? Stay tuned.
There’s lots of data that network execs look at when deciding whether to renew or cancel a TV series but ratings are the major ingredient. These charts will be updated daily, as new ratings data becomes available.
CW shows this season (so far): All American, Batwoman, Black Lightning, Charmed, The Christmas Caroler Challenge, Coroner, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, DC’s Stargirl, Devils, Dynasty, The Flash, Kung Fu, Legacies, Masters of Illusion, Nancy Drew, The Outpost, Pandora, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Riverdale, Roswell New Mexico, Supergirl, Superman & Lois, Supernatural, Swamp Thing, Tell Me a Story, Trickster, Two Sentence Horror Stories, Walker, Wellington Paranormal, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, and World’s Funniest Animals.

A couple of notes about these charts:
These figures are updated automatically as new ratings are released. The averages are based on the final national numbers (live plus same day viewing), unless marked with an asterisk (*). For technical reasons, I have to resort them manually so feel free to let me know if I missed something.
Keep in mind that the demo numbers are typically what’s most important to advertisers. Therefore, that’s how the networks measure success. Advertisers pay more for ad time on a show that has a higher demo rating. Because older viewers don’t count? No, it’s because younger viewers watch less traditional TV and are harder to reach.
Demo numbers are typically reported using the 10ths decimal place (2.4, for example). In the averages, I’m using an extra decimal for easier ranking. The networks take into account when shows air on Fridays and Saturdays, nights when TV viewership is lower.
What do you think? Are you surprised by any of the ratings? Which shows should be doing better? Which one do you think will be cancelled next?
I used to be the hugest nerd for the CW arrowverse shows. As each show went on (Flash, Supergirl, Legends, Batwomen,) each one of these went downhill, Switching out the most loved characters, switching them with new ones. Reintroducing the same character, etc. I say the main two arrowverse shows that are/were doing good, are Arrow and Black Lighting.
I know what the W stands for now… But what about the C?…
Nancy Drew needs to do better!!!
Please boost your ratings Dynasty so good this season look forward every Friday night soap opera enjoy it and love it. Never missed any episodes of it.
Can’t wait every week to see what Elizabeth Gillies has to do. She has the best dialog. Whatever happened to Sam’s husband?
Dynasty is very, very stunning, and the acting, the plot changes, the language buy the actors, and the writers words that are worded buy way to what the actors say are so cool, and the out come is that is an awesome view to watch. I love to watch it every week, and it is soooooooooooooo dreamy to watch. Joseph Fallon
i hope there are more spin off’s are coming to the cw like a flash spin off about another legacy of team flash and thrilled that there’s a superman series and as for batwoman the show as gotten a whole lot better and am looking forward for there being a third season of batwoman and i hope there well be a batwig spin off and i think if Fox dose become batwig and if there should be a batwig series i think Fox should use Oliver Queen head quarters as his head quarters..
The Outpost is a gem of a sci-fi/fantasy series that more people should be watching. It just keeps getting better each season. I liked watching the metamorphosis of Talon as she finds her place (and discovers her supernatural power) at The Outpost. The already fully formed, unique characters like Janzo and The Mistress with interesting back stories is what makes this so fun. There’s drama comedy and no shortage of action!
I love it too but unfortunately it’s been cancelled after the 13th episode.
I am so glad this show is done. It was only good the first few years then it went cheap. Dean and Sam are excellent actors. I wish them the best in the future.
Walker isn’t really good though. The production value is very cheap compare to SPN.
The CW’s shows have all tanked. Hallmark shows would be the highest rated if they were on CW. The Arrowverse shows are doing terrible. Starting to look like the end for the Arrowverse as even the Flash is doing poorly.
I haven’t watched The Flash ever since the Hartley firing, and not one of his cast mates coming to his defense. All the other super hero shows on the CW I don’t watch at all.
CW is going down as the less watched network in TV history.
Please get rid of The TALK! Worst show on the air. It’s time has passed!
Dynasty please boost your ratings so good look forward love it and enjoy it. Binge watching on Netflix.
Batwoman is getting more interested with the renewal
I think the reason Riverdale took a hit is that the one month hiatus was extended to 3 months. I know I was MAD AS HELL.
Wow
Need more ratings the flash top rated 1 show few years why keep dropping every week so annoying really good love it enjoy it never missed it. Look forward every episode.
As far as ratings go on the CW All American is tops. They go by demographic of the 18-49 people. I love the show.
