The Talk is losing another member of its panel ahead of season 11. Marie Osmond is leaving the CBS daytime talk show after just one season. The singer/presenter joined the panel last season to replace Sara Gilbert.
Osmond explained why she is leaving The Talk on CBS and what is next for her.
“One of the highlights of my year at The Talk was working with my dear friend John Redmann, and I’m excited to continue our working relationship on several projects we are developing. Also, my husband and I just dropped our last two kids off at college, we looked at each other, laughed and remembered we hadn’t been this alone together since 1982!! So, at this stage of my life, I’m looking forward to spending more time with him and visiting all the kids/grandkids.”
The Talk’s longtime executive producer and showrunner John Redmann previously left after the 10 seasons. Osmond is working on a new series with ViacomCBS and plans to work with Redmann on the new project.
Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood will host The Talk on their own until a fifth person is added to the panel. A new showrunner will also be named.

I liked Marie but it never seemed like she fit in. I would like to see Sara come back or add Brigitte.

I think Sharon didn’t like Marie much. Sharon calls the shots. Marie isn’t controversial enough for that panel. She has a lot of morals. Which is. GOOD thing.
I only watched “The Talk” because Marie Osmond was on it!!! I will not be watching it after she leaves!! Bad move for that show! I think Sharon Osborne should try to be more pleasant & fun loving on the show!!
I am not that surprised to learn that Marie is leaving, but I am sorry she is. I have always liked her and enjoyed her presence on “The Talk” very much. I’ll miss her. She offered a different view that helped make the show interesting, a good mix….

Sad to hear Marie is leaving. They should get rid of Sheryul though. She’s just not as funny as she thinks she is. Then get CARNIE Wilson to replace her and Brigitte Nielson to replace Marie. That would be a great panel. Or, get Marie to come back.

I was never a BiG fan until Marie came on the “TALK.” Now! I don’t want to see her go…She is awesome and makes the panel complete ! When Marie leaves I’m sorry but I will also leave.

Marie was an excellent cohost. It was nice to hear her views which can be very different from most celebrities. Yet she was also kind and showed compassion while being strong in her personal beliefs. I stopped watching when every other cohost thought Jennifer Lopez’s superbowl half time performance “showed a strong woman”. Marie was the only one who said it wasn’t appropriate for family entertainment. Hopefully onward and upward for Marie!
Please not Carney Wilson. She is okay but not for this platform.
Marie was my favorite member of the Talk panel. I probably won’t watch regularly now. She was the conservative one and brought some balance to the discussions.
I wish Julie Chen would return, the show has never been the same since she left. Marie should have never been on the panel, she just didn’t fit.
