NBC has seen some success with unscripted TV shows like The Voice and Ellen’s Game of Games. Now they’ve turned to “The Rock” and his new competitive reality series — The Titans Games TV show. With his marquee name and large, loyal fan base, will the first season of this program help the Peacock Network scale to the very top of the Nielsen ratings range? Will The Titan Games be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
An NBC athletic competition, The Titan Games was created by Dwayne Johnson aka “The Rock”, who hosts the series. Sports and entertainment journalist Cari Champion serves as field reporter, with Liam McHugh and Alex “Golden Boy” Mendez providing color commentary. Each episode features men and women confronting the contest’s Mount Olympus, in hopes of conquering it and becoming a Titan. At the end of the season, the Titans return and compete against each other, with just one man and one woman being crowned the Titan Champion and winner of a large cash prize.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
