It seems like just yesterday that Conan O’Brien took over the reins of the Tonight Show. In the history of the program, no one has ever hosted the series for less than three years, until now. O’Brien lasted just seven months and 146 episodes. Though he worked for NBC for more than 20 years, the tall host may very well become known as the George Lazenby of Tonight Show hosts.
Though O’Brien and his crew haven’t been in their expensive new studio for very long, you couldn’t tell by the final episode. It’s filled with “best of” clips and heartfelt goodbyes from stars like Will Ferrell (the series’ first guest), Tom Hanks, and Neil Young. There’s also a surprise appearance by Steve Carell. Who better to do O’Brien’s “exit interview?”
If you didn’t have a chance to see it on Friday night, you can watch it now…
What do you think? Was the last episode as good as you expected?

Great way to end the show
The episode on Hulu is no longer available. Can you post another video link of this last show?
@CoCoCraze: Unfortunately, they’ve taken them all down.
True 😉
Wasn’t Ferrell the LAST guest of the evening? (btw check that spelling before posting!)
@Cormac: Thanks for the typo note. He was the last guest of the evening but the article notes that he was the first guest of the series (back in June 2009).
