What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC drama, The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.

Will NBC cancel or renew The Village for season two? I think it could go either way. Right out of the gate, the ratings weren’t very good, especially for a series that followed NBC’s This Is Us drama. However, the ratings remained pretty consistent and saw some improvement when it was moved to an earlier timeslot. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. OH NO! PLEASE DON’T CANCEL THE VILLAGE!!!!. I love this show, it had alot of substance to it and I loved the actors. I so looked forward to snuggling up in my blanket and watching it every week. Oh please, won’t you consider renewing it. You are taking away the shows I watch. Do I have to start watching another channel. Please again, reconsider renewing The Village!!!!!!

This show is Fantastic, you really should renew season 2. Why do we keep things like these reality shows but get rid of really good everyday realistic shows? Very disappointed
This is typical, a show that my husband and I both enjoy gets canceled and NBC leaves garbage on the air. And I was just starting to watch NBC again

Very disappointed! There are absolutely no shows I watch on NBC, ABC or CBN. This was the only one I liked. Please bring it back.

i can’t believe you cancelled this true to life program. it was one of the better on NBC and yet you keep the more asinine half hour stupid comedies on that are the stupidest things on air. what the hell has gotten into tv? if its not these stupid comedies its reality tv and singing crap its some blood crazy shoot ’em up show. please give us back ‘the village’, a down to earth, human program that is set in modern day. be a cement block in bringing back regular programing that people can watch.

I love the show the village! Im always interested in shows that are based off of real life choices and things that go on. It sucks you rite in! Everyone should watch it! I would be upset if it went this is my new favorite show!
