What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC drama, The Village stars Warren Christie, Michaela McManus, Lorraine Toussaint, Frankie Faison, Jerod Haynes, Dominic Chianese, Darren Kagasoff, Grace Van Dien, and Moran Atias. The story centers on the residents of a Brooklyn apartment building. While it looks the same as countless others from the outside, what goes on inside is rare, to say the least. Everyone at the Village has a story to tell, be it about their hopes and dreams, or the challenges they’re facing. Together, they’re a family and family means everything — even when you are not related.

Will NBC cancel or renew The Village for season two? I think it could go either way. Right out of the gate, the ratings weren’t very good, especially for a series that followed NBC’s This Is Us drama. However, the ratings remained pretty consistent and saw some improvement when it was moved to an earlier timeslot. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. Dry disappointed. I don’t understand how networks cancel wholesome and great shows yet they keep on terrible shows. This was a great show and all the characters on the show were great. A show of substance. Come on NBC reconsider and do the right thing for your viewers.
Very disappointed that The Village is cancelled. We loved this show. Shows that have a great cast and are a feel good show are always bypassed for something raunchy or spiritistic. I can only hope that NBC will reconsider.

So very disappointed to hear this show was canceled. I really loved it and I loved discussing it with my friend. She was just as disappointed when I told her it was canceled. We thought it ranked up there with This is Us and A Million Little Things. Please please please reconsider!!! I know we don’t fit in the age demo (we are 50+) but if we like it so much, we can only assume we aren’t alone.
So disappointed as I really looked forward to this show, even more so than Manifest and New Amsterdam! I even had a friend text me she was devastated about it not being renewed as we both thought this was an even better show that This is Us, and that’s saying a lot. The actors come through as such warm people, even with their challenges, which is so refreshing. This building and it’s occupants come across as a real family! I am so hoping you’ll reconsider.
Maybe not enough advertising, but I put this show up there with This Is Us, and we are DEVASTATED! RECONSIDER!

This was one of the best shows on TV. Great story line, characters acting. please bring ot back.
So very disappointed you decided to cancel such a great show. It had a really good story line, enjoyed the actors who played each character. So sick of all the unfunny, boring sitcoms. Finally a great show and it’s cancelled.

I can’t believe that the village was canceled! But they leave shows like the bachelor and the bachelorette on! And all those reality shows! I really like that show it was a wholesome family drama! I hope another network picks it up and it continues! Other yhen that what the use of watching tv

Such a disappointment! I loved thos show!!! The writer’s do an amazing job of showing how friends amd family stick together… forgiveness and unconditional love in brokenness… please don’t cancel!! This mother/daughter relationship… the cancer storyline, true love… bring it back!
