From creator Dave Hemingson, who executive produces with Bill Lawrence, the Whiskey Cavalier TV show is one part screwball comedy, two parts spy drama. The action-adventure centers on FBI Agent Will Chase (Foley), codename: Whiskey Cavalier and CIA operative Frankie Trowbridge (Cohan), codename: Fiery Tribune.
The series kicks off with Will still reeling from a breakup Gigi (Valerie Huber). She dumped him when he proposed to her, and since the entire incident was caught on camera, poor Whiskey has to relive it with not just his co-workers and friends, but his rivals and targets, as well.
While on assignment overseas, Whiskey crosses paths with Frankie, and the results are both explosive and captivating — largely because she ignites an explosion in order to cause a diversion and absconds with the target Will is supposed to bring in.
That target is Edgar Standish (Williams), a hacker extraordinaire who, in his work for the NSA, stumbled onto evidence of an enormous conspiracy involving corruption, election theft, and more. Since Edgar is a US citizen, the FBI has dibs on him, but Frankie means to take him to a CIA black-ops site, to get him to reveal the location of all the sensitive files in his possession.
Although both Will and Frankie are tough, seasoned agents, he has an open, tender side, whereas she prefers to stay out of touch with her feelings. Each one bests the other and saves the other at turns.
Sparring over custody of Edgar, Frankie and Will quickly develop a grudging respect for each other’s skills, as well as for Edgar’s determination to uncover the truth about vast government corruption. They’re soon assigned to work together on an inter-agency task force, to save the world.
The team also includes FBI profiler Susan Sampson (Ortiz), CIA gadget guru Jai Datta (Das), and FBI Agent Ray Prince (Hopkins). Together they’ll take on that task of saving the world and they just might save each other, too.

Ollerman attempts to force the team to commit a terrorist attack for The Trust using Ray’s life as leverage. Meanwhile, Jai helps Standish deal with a revelation about Tina, and Will and Frankie come to a realization about their relationship.

This is one of the best shows on tv.. great cast and story lines – BRING THIS SHOW BACK!!
We enjoyed it as one of the better shows on TV. You had drama as well as some comedy. We are really going to miss it and hope that they come to their senses and do another season (or many more!!).
Every time there is a funny, clever and creative show, it gets dumped. We keep getting stupid shows like The Bachelor and not really dancing with the stars, and good shows get the boot. No wonder no one wants cable any more. The show required too many IQ points for the network to keep it. Sad. Sad.
ABC finally gets a great show going, one that’s funny and serious at the same time, and they blow it by cancelling it. What were they thinking? I really don’t understand why they don’t keep good shows that are watched by a lot of people and become the #1 network. Aren’t they learning from their mistakes? I want to see a second season of Whiskey Cavalier. Please bring it back.
Renew, renew, renew ! Love this show and the chemistry between the characters. There is drama, action and humour. Please give it chance
ABC Shame on you no wonder the pole shows that your network cancels the most viewer watched shows. The few I just don’t get are Splitting up & Whiskey Cavalier what you don’t listen to your viewers? Network Officials should read these viewers comments for a start! These 2 shows have a great cast they are FUNNY . My friends and I looked forward to watching these shows and talking about them. I’m shocked!!!!!!I can not possibly be one of only a few, who thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to every minute of this show. It has been fun to pay attention to all of the details within this show…..It was intelligently entertaining on so many levels. I seriously can not understand WHY it has been canceled!
Why did you cancel Whiskey. It was a good show. Just because 18-49 ages didn’t like it doesn’t mean their are more people out there that didn’t want it cancelled. It should of had a 2nd season. Why does ABC take all the good and clean shows off the air.
Unbelievable! You finally get a show that is actually humorous and has good action and drama and you cancel it. Why do comedy shows have to be so ridiculously stupid to last? There are a lot people who get sophisticated comedy and actually laugh when they see it. Why do you think so many people are switching to Netflix or other programming like it?
Simply put, ABC made a mistake on canceling the series. Period!
ABC Come on why do you keep cancelling your good shows . splitting up together, kids are alright now whiskey. Is no one listening to the viewers? this show was so funny with one of the best casts. I am hoping another network will pick this up . Shame on you abc time to ditch some reality shows and go for comedies

The cast is perfectly chosen. The writers are inspired. Production is excellent. Whiskey Cavalier is a show which will draw an ever growing audience the longer it runs. Give it a CHANCE!
I love this show!! So sorry to see Whiskey Cavalier cancelled. I look forward to watching it every week.
