What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the TNT cable channel, Will stars Laurie Davidson as William Shakespeare. The cast also includes Olivia DeJonge, Jamie Campbell Bower, Mattias Inwood, Ewen Bremner, Colm Meaney, William Houston, Lukas Rolfe, Max Bennett, and Jasmin Savoy Brown. At just 24 years of age, with no social or political advantages, Shakespeare is willing to risk everything in pursuit of his dreams. He dives headlong into the fast and treacherous world of Elizabethan theater, trying to make it as a writer.

Telly’s Take
Will debuted with weak numbers for a TNT TV series and the ratings haven’t gotten better for this young Shakespeare series. It’s TNT’s lowest-rated scripted series so, unless there’s some special financial arrangement, I suspect that Will will be cancelled and not renewed for a second season. It took me a while to get into it ,then I loved it. It’s very different and very well done . I’m surprised it wasn’t more popular.
My heart is broken to hear that this show has been cancelled. What a fun, aspiring tale of young William Shakespeare that had me craving for each new episode. The romance, the villainy, the actors, the feeling of being a part of this time period was astounding. I think that TNT needs to rethink this decision, it was such a breathe of fresh air compared to the annoying, catty shows that are played on today’s television. Dude i don’t understand why this show was canceled. It was very interesting. As an English literature student, I like it very much! I was hoping to see season two, I am really disappointed right now.
Come on! This show deserves a second chance. I want to see how Will comes up with his most famous plays. Also I want to know more about Marlow. PLEASE…
So sad to find this has been cancelled, I had watched then was unalbe to view the finale until now. I come here to find there is no season 2. Such a wonderful and talented cast.
It had it all. Great writing, great actors and it was about William Shakespear for goodness sake. What a pity to find it cancelled.

I absolutely love this show. It is great whether a fan of Shakespeare or not. Beautifully conceived, acted, and directed. The edginess and mix with punk rock is great. Please, continue this show!!
This show is amazing. The actors are ridiculously talented. I’m so blown away by them. Jamie Campbell Bower is superb as Christopher Marlowe. Please keep this show on!!! I agree with others there was not enough publicity given about this show.
This is a fresh approach to this man we know so little about his early life. This will bring in a new crowd to this man of all times. Please keep this show alive and well.
Great show, needed better publicity – I only stumbled upon it by accident and ended up binge watching the whole series over 3 nights. Fingers crossed for renewal!
