Have you been watching Wisdom of the Crowd? The CBS TV show is headed towards its season one finale and all indications are that it will be the series finale as well.
The crime drama stars Jeremy Piven as Jeffrey Tanner, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur who sets out to design an online platform for real-time, crowdsourced crime solving after his daughter is killed. The cast also includes Richard T. Jones, Natalia Tena, Monica Potter, Blake Lee, Abigail F. Cowen, and Jake Matthews.
Season one has averaged a disappointing 0.92 rating in the 18-49 demo and 7.07 million viewers, making it one of CBS‘ lowest-rated new series for the 2017-2018 season.
Last year, the network reportedly decided not to order any future episodes and star Jeremy Piven has also been the subject of recent sexual misconduct allegations.
What do you think? Should CBS have cancelled the Wisdom of the Crowd TV show? Would you have watched more season one episodes or a second season?
NO! It should not be cancelled. Two things.. for one, I thought the whole foundation of the justice system was “Innocent until proven guilty.” I’m not saying that I disagree with the whole “Time’s Up” movement but we need to be very careful with how we handle all these allegations. To yank a show off the air (costing countless jobs and work opportunities) simply because of allegations is awful. Now I know the network claims poor ratings, although I just saw in TV guide that the ratings of WOTC were in the top 25. Is that incorrect? And secondly, the… Read more »
I really like this show. It keeps getting better. I hope CBS will reconsider . There aren’t a lot of good drama shows on TV and this one is a good one.
American justice is innocent until proven guilty IN A COURT OF LAW!
Ladies please! Don’t let these other people JUST SAY IT, and make it so. I have sons and grandson who I want to be given the benefit of the law.
Now listen/see here CBS Network Television Channel Station/Executive Producers I absolutely completely definitely positively feel/think that You ALL jumped the gun while making conclusions You shouldn’t of cancelled/dismissed “Wisdom Of The Crowd” because of the alleged sexual abuse, harassment and misconduct by “Jeremy Piven” which I don’t believe in what’s being/what’s going on TV Show/Station Network for CBS You need to reconsider Your choice/decision bring back for a renewed 2nd Season bring back “Wisdom Of The Crowd” it’s an awesome excellent great super fantastic very cool!
Totally agree!
I like this show it’s a show that gives you mystery with tech savvy help. Something not many other shows have. I think you should renew and address what ever issues and this dismissing shows every time some allegations is brought up. To many shows are being dropped because of this. People lose jobs and good shows are lost.
I think it is the most clever show on tv; RENEW IT!
You are behind on your news. This show has been said it was canceled way back in November because of the sexual misconduct allegations of Jeremy Piven.
I hate the fact it has been canceled, as I really enjoy the show. It’s a testament to how our technology is advancing, and this can help. It’s a little more sophisticated than the tip lines and reward system we have now. The saying has always been, “a picture is worth a thousand words”, and pictures are better eyewitnesses than human eyes and mind alone.
Not finishing the story is extremely unsatisfying. Why couldn’t they have Piven’s character be murdered (another crime for SOPHE to solve) because he figures it out? Regardless of the outcome of the current allegations against him, the show deserves a conclusion. Cancelling before the resolution is a slap in the face to viewers.
I didn’t even know who Piven was, but TV stations quit cancelling shows and firing hosts UNTIL GUILT IS PROVEN IN COURT NOT THE MEDIA!
liked the show, would continue to watch
Do not cancell, I love this show!!
I agree, Wisdom of the Crowd cancellation is not an option either new episodes or season 2, not when Mia’s killer is still at large.
I hope it doesn’t get canceled… I love the show.
Love the show and am hoping to see it return. If CBS has already made the decision to cancel, the very least they could have done was given us an ending. I’m hoping the fact they left Mia’s murder unsolved is a good sign for more episodes.
Piven should be replaced if allegations proven. In fact, he should have a downfall on the show of these allegations. Wife steps in to replace him. Love the premise.
No it shouldn’t be cancelled, because it has the potential to go somewhere. Regardless of whether the allegations of sexual misconduct against Jeremy Piven are true or not (I’m inclined to say not, because the accusations are turning into a witch hunt), it’s a shame CBS can’t stick with it and let any of the other shows which have run far too long go. But then again, Mr. Piven’s previous two series (“Entourage” and “Mr. Selfridge”, which ran eight and four years, respectively) were always going to be hard acts to follow, whether “Wisdom Of The Crowd” succeeded or not.… Read more »

We enjoyed the show, I think CBS jumped the gun
