It seems that the end is near for the Younger TV show. According to one of the show’s actors, there won’t be an eighth season of the TV Land series.
A romantic comedy, Younger stars Sutton Foster, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Hilary Duff, Molly Bernard, Peter Hermann, and Charles Michael Davis. The story centers on single mother Liza Miller (Foster) who passes herself off as a 20-something, to land a job in the publishing industry. As Liza’s personal and professional lives mesh, keeping her secret becomes more difficult. This season finds Kelsey (Duff) growing into her position as publisher at Millennial Print. Meanwhile, Liza and Charles (Hermann) are finding their footing, now that he no longer runs the business.
The sixth season of Younger averaged a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 580,000 viewers. Compared to season five, that’s down by 39% and 14%, respectively. Season six finished airing in September 2019.
Younger was renewed for a seventh season in July 2019 and, according to Duff, that will be the end of the show. In a recent interview, Duff shared,
It has been tough because I’m supposed to be in New York right now filming last season, and we have been on hold for quite a few months. Things are starting to shoot in New York and open back up again. I think production is feeling confident that in the next month or two we can get back to our schedule and shoot our last season.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, Huff says that the cast hasn’t been able to read scripts for the final episodes. The actress is confident that series creator Darren Starr will deliver a satisfying ending. She said,
He writes amazing (scripts) for women and we feel so empowered to be on the show and to be playing the women that we are playing. They’re all very different, but with very strong and flawed qualities — so I’m sure this last season will not disappoint.
While Younger may be coming to an end, a spin-off that revolves around Duff’s character is in the works.

I enjoyed watching Younger when it first started. I continued after, and couldn’t wait for the next season. I hate that it’s ending, I’ll probably watch the spinoff as well.
Yes… I would love for the Younger series to continue! I love the show. Yes, I would also watch a spin-off series. I would love to see Sutton Foster in another series too, if Younger does not continue.
Yes I would definitely want it to go on to season 8. The cast seems to have such a very strong chemistry. But if it does come to an end; I would definitely watch the spinoff. I do want to thank everyone in the cast, writer and producer for there excellent performance and work.
Yes please please please do another season and then another season and then another season you get my point we need more YOUNGER!!! But if no more Younger then definitely a spin off we need more Hilary Duff she’s amazing seen her in concert 13 years ago with my daughter and it was amazing she is a beautiful and very talented actress, singer songwriter she was amazing in Raise Your Voice can watch that movie over and over again thanks Hilary Duff for making a coe back in Younger hope you don’t leave us again!!!

Hi younger, yes you should continuing making another 8 th season. Since Hilary Duff was very young I watch all her movie n her TV shows. I love to hear her sing songs in the movie n Hailary have a beautiful voice.. Hilary is very beautiful, sweet, very smart young lady that she is amazing n very great actresses n great performance. I am very sad to hear that Younger is ending. Great group of actors and actresses. I will miss it terribly. Shocked to here ratings went down as the series continued. I will miss it. I dont know how many times I gone back and binged watched all of the seasons.
It’s time for this show to come to an end. I have loved it since the beginning but now that everybody knows the secret, what’s the point? Time to go.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Younger. It’s one of only a handful of shows worth watching. I have been watching since Day One, I love all the characters and feel like they are all friends of mine. I would miss them if they went away!! Please renew it for as long as possible!! I am anxious to see how the story unfolds, but I’m not in any hurry for the show to end. And I would definitely watch a spin off.

I love the show. I discovered it this summer on Netflix or Hulu. I binge watched it. I would love a Season 8. As for the spinoff…maybe.
Noo spinoff. Great show but enough is enough. Spinoffs never recapture th ef magic and rarely work.
The Cute Tattoo artist is going to be on the new walking dead show. Sorry, I can’t think of the name of that show, but I believe it starts in October. I’m a fan of the WD.
