Do the first responders get the job done during the first season of the 9-1-1 TV show on FOX? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like 9-1-1 is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all of the 9-1-1 season one episodes here.
A FOX procedural, 9-1-1 stars Angela Bassett, Connie Britton, Peter Krause, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, and Rockmond Dunbar. The scripted drama, inspired by real-life experiences, centers on the police officers, firefighters, and paramedics who risk their lives to save others. No matter how frightening, dangerous, and shocking a situation may be, these first responders rush toward crises from which others flee.
What do you think? Which season one episodes of the 9-1-1 TV series do you rate as wonderful, terrible, or somewhere between? Should FOX cancel or renew 9-1-1 for a second season? Don’t forget to vote, and share your thoughts, below.
As a retired first responder myself (EMS) I find this series very true to life. The stories and characters are wonderful. I can relate many to my own experiences as an EMS/EMT. People need to realize that when emergency services personel clock out at the end of their shift they clock in to their home and personal life and on occasion one crosses over into the other and there is nothing wrong with that as we are all human. I think people that have not worked in this field or dont know anyone who does like to think that emergency… Read more »
I do like this show but find the Abby and Buck storyline to be disturbing. I doubt I will continue to watch.
I love this show! You have to keep it for another season and another. Connie Britton makes it real for me. I am a caregiver for my mother and I am having the same struggles that she is having on the show. The only thing I don’t have is a relationship and I hope the writers make it work for her!
Really like this show. It’s real. Love the actors and the story
This show is great. Look forward to watching it each week. However, the Valentines Day episode was terrible. We the viewers do not need a running commentary on what is happening. We are intelligent enough to know what’s going on. If this commentary continues, I will no longer watch the show. It was distracting. Please don’t do it again.
Worked in medicine during Vietnam war, then until a disability from Service stopped me. Feel it “is” as genuine as can be conveyed over a tv. I feel it. Shows the emotions I’ve seen for first responders I’ve known. Most are caring, check back on patients, do follow up. If they loose that, they shouldn’t work in the field. They also have private lives. Husband flew Medivac in Nam. Same thing. First responders aren’t immune to what they experience. Hope this one lasts.
This show is horrible! Angela Bassett and Connie Britton need to run form this trainwreck. With all of the talent it’s a shame the story line is mediocre at best.
First time watching 9-1-1.
Plane crash episode titled “worst day ever” after watching “WORST show EVER”.
OMG, I don’t think I have every seen anything so bad…….
Completely unbelievable, completely boring, completely never wasting time on this again.
This show is NOT good. They have this great cast of actors but the writing is horrible and unbelievable. They try to pack too much into one episode, they don’t build any connection. It sucks!!!!!
It’s a really awful show! I only watched it because Connie Britton and Angela Bassett were in it but I can’t watch another episode. The script is terrible, which makes the acting terrible. Too bad.
Terrible! So disappointed.
CANCEL – this is a bunch of crap !!!
Cancel. As a first responder with both Fire and Police credentials I found the portrayal of the Firefighter deplorable. LA City I am sure would weigh in on the fact that a truck is not a personal vehicle for someone to use on a whim. The portrayal of the Firefighter/Engineer and his womanizing is not an accurate portrayal of our ethics and we hold ourselves to higher standards, and must, as we are in the public eye whether in uniform or out. As far as the police officer, there is not enough in the first episode to critique. She’s got… Read more »
Just wonderful! I’m hooked!
