A Netflix comedy series, AJ and the Queen stars RuPaul Charles, Izzy G., Michael-Leon Wooley, Josh Segarra, Katerina Tannenbaum, and Tia Carrere. In the story, Ruby Red (Charles) is a bigger-than-life but down-on-her-luck drag queen. She travels across America from club to club in a rundown 1990’s R/V with her unlikely sidekick AJ (G.), a recently orphaned, tough-talking and scrappy 11-year-old stowaway. As the two misfits — one tall and one small — travel from city to city, Ruby’s message of love and acceptance winds up touching people and changing their lives for the better.

I’m a 64 yr old grandma in GA, USA. I loved every minute of season one. Great writing and great acting! I really hope we see a season two.

I am a real fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and all my favorites including the incomparable Latrese Royal! And the acting was really, really good! I was truly impressed! I can’t wait for it’s triumphant return!
I don’t usually like RuPaul but he gave performance that stole my heart. He was absolutely wonderful in every episode. The writing was very good and warmly relatable. Izzy G was wonderful as AJ playing a character with many levels and doing it very well. It might’ve been a little cliché at the beginning but these two really develop the relationship that I want to see again in season 2
Absolutely love this show! Got through it way too fast, because now I have to wait for season two! There will be a season 2, right?! Please!
I was thoroughly entertained by this show. It had a bit of camp, some tried-and-true Ru-isms, and fun cameo’s all tied into a story reminiscent of a heart warming Dolly Parton Christmas special. You can’t take this program seriously though. The writing isn’t over the top, the acting has some flat points, and a few of scenes do drag on a bit here and there. I give AJ and the Queen 1 million stars this was absolutely the best show I have ever viewed it has plenty of drama , comedy, and action which evolves into one fantastic show I definitely hope and pray that there will be a season 2 thumbs up to the amazing RuPaul
AJ and the Queen is a wonderful series. RuPal, izzyG G and the rest of the cast are amazing. It is fun, funny, uplifting and wholesome …this is a winner !!
I loved it. It was like To Wong Foo/ Priscilla desert queen movie. But in show form. By the end I felt a new family had come together.
Great show it’s a must watch also has great heart love and joy with some sadness but overall a great show.
