This court won’t be back in session during the 2021-22 television season. CBS has cancelled the All Rise legal drama series so we won’t be seeing a third season.
All Rise stars Simone Missick, Wilson Bethel, Marg Helgenberger, Jessica Camacho, J. Alex Brinson, Lindsay Mendez, Ruthie Ann Miles, Lindsay Gort, and Audrey Corsa. The series follows the chaotic, hopeful (and sometimes absurd) world of those who work at a courthouse in Los Angeles. At the center of this drama series is Lola Carmichael (Missick), a recently appointed judge who was previously a highly regarded and impressive deputy district attorney. She depends on the counsel of people like her Deputy District Attorney Mark Callan (Bethel), Supervisory Judge Lisa Benner (Helgenberger), and pragmatic judicial assistant Sherri Kansky (Miles). Lola pushes the boundaries and challenges the expectations of what a judge can be and receives both support and pushback from those around her.
Airing on Monday nights, the second season of All Rise averages a 0.45 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.01 million viewers in the live+same day ratings. Compared to season one, that’s down by 27% in the demo and down by 26% in viewership. It’s one of the lower-rated scripted shows on CBS.
The cancellation follows a number of behind-the-scenes issues — including the departure of creator/showrunner Greg Spottiswood following misconduct allegations.
The de facto series finale will air on May 24th.
What do you think? Do you make a point to watch the All Rise TV series each week? Are you sorry that it’s been cancelled? Would you have tuned in for season three on CBS?
I loved this show! It’s different and entertaining. So sad it’s Canceled.
I love All Rise! The show, dealt with real issues and had great characters. I wish they stop taking off good shows like this. They should bring it back.
So sad. One of our favorites we caught weekly. Smart, funny, dramatic, great character development, astute commentary on our times. Disappointed in CBS.
I didn’t miss an episode Well written, well played.
Loved the show along with my friends. Very disappointed it’s cancelled. All Rise was entertaining.
Yes. i love this show. one of my favs
But really series wasn’t that great it’s like it lasted two seasons. A lot of people think this was such a wonderful program but actually it was below average it stunk people just yapping at the Shannara been canceled really either never watch the series or have other agendas of why this show is canceled. It will last two seasons this is called even.
I watched it on CBS All access which changed to paramount plus. We had some trouble with the new platform and following our favorite shows. Plus with the pandemic, we were never sure when programs were back up. Not fair to fans of this program! Hope another network picks it up.
Yes. I watch All Rise every week. And am disappointed about no season 3.
For an older middle class white male….. I enjoyed the personal struggles of each character and how well they worked and played together as a team. I rooted for Lola to keep growing and succeeding in her quest to reshape the laws and her position. I rooted for the success of almost every character and their search for identity and love. It was a show for the racial spectrum and it was a shame that more people did not embrace the show.
disappointed…enjoyed this series! love crime and courtroom series.
Loved the show and am horrified that CBS is so short-sighted as to drop it. Nothing on CBS compares to “All Rise” in acting quality and plot, in spite of raging problems with the show. Nothing else on Monday night is even close to it in quality.
Please reconsider!!!
Disappointed! I loved the show
Another stupid move by the network. This show should not be canceled. It is not fair to fans.
I agree with other comments….and am disappointed to see that all-rise is cancelled…I watched every episode and loved it…I will definitely limit viewing on CBS considering there “new” tv lineup.
