This court won’t be back in session during the 2021-22 television season. CBS has cancelled the All Rise legal drama series so we won’t be seeing a third season.
All Rise stars Simone Missick, Wilson Bethel, Marg Helgenberger, Jessica Camacho, J. Alex Brinson, Lindsay Mendez, Ruthie Ann Miles, Lindsay Gort, and Audrey Corsa. The series follows the chaotic, hopeful (and sometimes absurd) world of those who work at a courthouse in Los Angeles. At the center of this drama series is Lola Carmichael (Missick), a recently appointed judge who was previously a highly regarded and impressive deputy district attorney. She depends on the counsel of people like her Deputy District Attorney Mark Callan (Bethel), Supervisory Judge Lisa Benner (Helgenberger), and pragmatic judicial assistant Sherri Kansky (Miles). Lola pushes the boundaries and challenges the expectations of what a judge can be and receives both support and pushback from those around her.
Airing on Monday nights, the second season of All Rise averages a 0.45 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.01 million viewers in the live+same day ratings. Compared to season one, that’s down by 27% in the demo and down by 26% in viewership. It’s one of the lower-rated scripted shows on CBS.
The cancellation follows a number of behind-the-scenes issues — including the departure of creator/showrunner Greg Spottiswood following misconduct allegations.
The de facto series finale will air on May 24th.
What do you think? Do you make a point to watch the All Rise TV series each week? Are you sorry that it’s been cancelled? Would you have tuned in for season three on CBS?
I think canceling All Rise is just plane wrong
Patience people! This is an interesting show that needs some more time to find a larger audience. I will be sad to see it go. Perhaps another network will pick it up
Such a shame. A show that deals with true issues of the time and we don’t keep it on the air but you keep crap like B positive and young Sheldon. It’s why main stream tv is coming to an end and Netflix etc is flourishing.
Sorry to hear this news. It seems that shows that showcase people who figure out of the box solutions for today’s issues don’t seem to catch on. Another good show gone.
This was one of the FEW shows that I liked on television. I loved it and would certainly have watched Season 3. I am VERY disappointed. PLEASE DON’T CANCEL ALL RISE!
I actually like this show most of the time. It’s something different from the typical cop or hospital show. I hate that it is over.
Oh come on!!! So unfair!! Every time I find a show and become invested this happens. So get a new writer and let’s move on. Netflix pick this one up and let’s keep this going! Team Joaquin btw!
Funny how other than Monday and Fridays and FBI we dont watch a lot of CBS programming but it seems what we do watch does not survive…last year we saw them cancel God Friended Me, a show that between 60 Minutes and NCIS Whatever had to do well but half the years was up against Sunday Night Football. Now All Rise that I had solid lead ins and followed by Bull. As others have said they have kept shows like SEAL for more than 2 years but did not give All Rise a third year…guess I will be watching less… Read more »
I would have continued watching this show. Very disappointed it is being canceled
I can almost guarantee the reason for decreased viewership is because it would be 1-2 or more weeks between episodes sometimes. I would have totally tuned in for season 3 and I hope someone will pick it up like they did Brooklyn Nine Nine.
Really!!!WTF!!!! No
I am an weekly faithful watcher and sad that CBS has canceled this great program. The actors were outstanding to include the each storyline. I will try to follow each as they move to other acting venues, especially Ms Missick.
I am profoundly saddened at the forthcoming cancellation of All Rise. I watched it weekly and looked forward to new storylines. Heck, I had some storylines of my own. These characters became a part of my weekly existence. Why? CBS.Why???????
Really?!!! Do you really have to keep canceling the shows I love to watch!! I loved the actors and the plots. It kept me eager to watch it every week. Please reconsider and dont cancel “All Rise”.
No I like this show I watch it every week
it is one of my favorite next to New Orleans
