The networks are looking at their fall schedules and trying to prepare for the possibility of Covid-19 keeping production shutdown for a longer period of time. Blood & Treasure is one of the shows in limbo. The series started production on its second season in October, and it is assumed that production wrapped before the shutdown started in March.
Blood & Treasure was set to premiere its new season over the summer, but it might be held in the can until the fall. CBS Entertainment President, Kelly Kahl, said the following about their plans, per Deadline:
“We have many options, you’ve seen how we’ve been able to be nimble over the last few weeks. We have a lot of options at our disposal and since the merger, we’ve got even more options, so whenever we can get our shows together, leading up to that, we’re not going to be airing a test pattern on any nights. We’re keeping our options open.”

absolutely – my parents and I watched that show multiple times over the COVID quarantine, and it was fast-paced and fun to watch. took our minds off COVID-related … everything. More please!

Blood & Treasure is an excellent program. Can’t wait to see the 2nd season, please. PLEASE! Love the cast; love the story lines; love the special effects & eye catching presentation; not 1 minute is wasted showing unimportant scenes or time fillers. Excellent series! Have been waiting all summer to see Season 2! Have been telling people about it. Now with a program shortage in the fall, Blood & Treasure will have more exposure to become a fan favourite!!
I agree whole-heartedly. I am hoping we will see season 2 this fall. Visually a real treat. Love the characters. I feel like I am watching a Bond movie every week.

That quote from Kelly Kahl was the biggest load of BS I have ever read. Was George W your speechwriter? I am left with the question: Do you have any options? B & T has already wrapped and is in the can so don’t blame Covid 19 for its release delay. What better time to air it than when you have a captive audience?
