Did Sydney make the right choice in the first season of the Bluff City Law TV show on NBC? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Bluff City Law is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all of the season one episodes of Bluff City Law here. *Status update below.
An NBC legal drama, the Bluff City Law TV series stars Jimmy Smits, Caitlin McGee, Scott Shepherd, Barry Sloane, Michael Luwoye, MaameYaa Boafo, Stony Blyden, and Jayne Atkinson. Coming from a famous Memphis family that’s known for taking on injustice, a brilliant lawyer named Sydney Strait (McGee) used to work at her father Elijah’s celebrated law firm until their tumultuous relationship got in the way. After barely speaking to Elijah (Smits) for years, Sydney is suddenly thrust back into the family fold when her philanthropist mother passes away unexpectedly. In the wake of the loss of his wife and in hopes of reconnecting with the daughter he loves, Elijah asks Sydney to rejoin his Civil Rights firm and take on a chemical company whose product may cause cancer. Despite her lingering resentment and distrust, she agrees because she knows that working alongside her father is her best hope at changing the world — as long as they can find a way to get along. No sooner has Sydney returned than she stumbles on a secret that Elijah has been keeping from her that may change everything.

*6/16/20 update: Bluff City Law has been cancelled by NBC so, there won’t be a second season.
Please continue Bluff City Law.. Great, refreshing new show with great real life subjects. Love it!!!!
I love this show! I need my law firm fix.
Bluff City law was a fantastic show it took about three episodes to get into but the last episode that has aired was heartbreaking and very emotionally stirring for a multitude of reasons. The cast of characters are fantastic and the nuances of the characters are really just being formed and they are so intriguing. I will be very disappointed if this show is cancelled. My two favorite NBC shows are Law & Order SVU and Bluff City law.
Fantastic show! Please do not cancel. The show tackles some very tough legal issue better than most shows of this type.
I enjoyed watching Bluff City Law it was very interesting and I will keep on watching it, if I am given the chance to. It has a great start up show and the daughter of course made the right decision . Let’s keep going with this show and see what happens next. Like I said I truly enjoyed it. Please consider keeping it on the air. Thank you Nancy
It’s so refreshing to have a show that doesn’t have a “hit squad”, SWAT team, etc. every week and has a diverse group of friends and family together facing real issues. Move the night and give it another 10 episodes to see how it does.
Please don’t cancel! Great show and cast!
This is a great show its a fresh up warming family that wants to help people with the law the last episode was so real that I cried . It was very emotional please please bring it back. Maybe there wasn’t enough leading the show on
I watched every episode of this series. I loved it. It just needed more time to develop. Many questions were left unanswered…I recommend it!!
This is an awesome show full of true emotion and family no matter how unconventional! It needs to come back
Love, love this show!
I hope Bluff City Law will return. It was hard to follow as other shows were shown in this time period but we DID manage to watch it. A good show for later evening viewing.
Please, please bring back this wonderful show. Great cast, deep. smart writing, Jimi
Smits is a TV legend !! Maybe a different time and day slot will get more people
watching. Spread the word, everybody, who want this excellent show back and
let NBC know !!!

One of the better dramas…record and then watch with most of my shows need second season for more exposure and people to watch before throwing in towel get into the show and they only give one season it takes more than one season for people to see new shows…
