What’s This TV Show About?
A Freeform drama inspired by the professional life of former Cosmopolitan Editor-in-Chief, Joanna Coles, The Bold Type stars Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, Meghann Fahy, Matt Ward, Sam Page, Melora Hardin, and Nikohl Boosheri. Set at the offices of Scarlet, a women’s magazine, the story follows the newest generation of “Scarlet women” as they make their marks on the industry. It centers on Jane (Stevens), Kat (Dee), and Sutton (Fahy), who support each other even as they learn to assert themselves to the formidable figures at the company. Together they delve issues including sexuality, identity, romance, and style.
Season One Ratings

Though Freeform needs to establish new shows, the ratings haven’t been great for The Bold Type. My empty gut says they’ll renew the show for season two but the series could easily be cancelled. Subscribe for free updates on any cancellation and renewal news about The Bold Type.

The show needs to be renewed. It is amazing show that focuses on many social issues while providing insight of some reality that women are not always backstabing and evil to achieve success. It is quite refreshing to see a show that not only encourages success but it always shows us to stand for what be believe in. I enjoy watching this show with mu 16yr old daughter. Looking forward to s2

I love the characters and the writing!! Definitely hoping for a second season!! Or four or five more seasons. The friendship between the three main characters is refreshing and Jacqueline is such a great mentor who really cares about her employees. Great show!!
The Bold Type characters are strong, current and real – and illustrate the importance of female friendships in managing daily challenges within the workplace, life, and love. This show is young, vibrant, funny, reflective, and important! I look forward to Season Two!
I love this show!! They can’t cancel it. I did not watch the show when it first aired. I brought the whole season on iTunes. They need to give this show a chance. Amazing cast. Amazing stories that still need to be told.
Please do not cancel this show. I am a 41 year old women who wasn’t going to watch. I thought it would be so librial and one sided. After watching the show, I am truly addicted. These girls face obstacles and talk about real topics bringing a light where it needs to shine. The Bold Type is a full of real life situations. Watching how these wonderful young women handle each situation in the face of adversity while bringing awareness in itself is amazing. Keep the show running…Not sure why the ratings are not up? I would love to see a season 2 of the bold type. It focuses on the millenials and it is very relatable. There are lots of things yet to be explored for the 3 girls. Please give it at least another 3 seasons. Let us see how these women grow.

The Bold Type is an excellent thoughtful, touching and funny show. Something for everyone! I also binged watched this thanks to a heads up from my 75 year old friend and I am 71. Go for it on Season 2, please!
