The first season of the Bull TV show was a top-five performer for CBS. Now it has a new showrunner and a second season to try to increase its audience even further. Will the ratings rise or fall? Will Bull be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
A legal drama inspired by the early career of Doctor Phil McGraw, Bull stars Michael Weatherly, Freddy Rodriguez, Geneva Carr, Jaime Lee Kirchner, Annabelle Attanasio, Christopher Jackson, Dena Tyler, Jill Flint, and Eliza Dushku. The CBS TV series centers on the brash and charming Doctor Jason Bull (Weatherly). In heading the team at his Trial Analysis Corporation, Bull combines psychology, human intuition, and high-tech data to learn what makes jurors, attorneys, witnesses and the accused tick.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/9 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.

For comparisons: The first season of Bull on CBS averaged a 1.43 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and a total audience of 11.385 million viewers.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Bull TV show? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a third season on CBS?
4/18/18 update: CBS has renewed Bull for a third season which will debut during the 2018-19 broadcast season.
Please keep Bull on air, fantastic show.
I have watched Bull rom the beginning and I love the program. All the actors are fantastic and you fall in love with them all. I would hate to see the program canceled. I think Jason Bull is a excellent actor. My heart will break if there is no more episodes.
Bull is an excellent TV drama and I’ve watched it from the beginning. Storylines, plot, casting and conflict all balance really well and you certainly come up with some really unique, and refreshing, stories. It’s so nice to watch a different and intelligent drama series. Keep up the great work!
Honestly, I couldn’t get into Bull until they brought in Eliza from Dollhouse
I haven’t been able to get attached to the show like a good show makes me.
Love the show please keep on what happens after he has the heart attack I need to know
This is my favorite TV show. I enjoyed the drama and the storylines. I enjoy the compassion that Bull fields for people who are unfairly convicted of crimes. I enjoyed seeing how he reads the behaviors of the jury members and other people. I think there’s something to be learned from this and used in our everyday lives when interacting with others. I think it also teaches in Halo understand what others see in our Behaviors. And to the powers-that-be, please don’t cancel the series
Renewal is needed. Good drama is hard to find. This is good drama. My husband and I have enjoyed and appreciated seasons 1 and 2.
Sue Wright-Barron “Bull” is one my favorite TV programs. I like the drama, the cast, the story lines, and Michael Weatherly is perfect for the lead. It does not strengthen Bull’s character to end the show with him in bed with a new woman. Occasional romance is a good thing, but Bull jumping in bed with whatever woman is convenient does not add strength to the program or his character. Bull is a strong business man turning the court room up side down. Keep him strong. We the viewers need to see strength sometimes on TV.
It’s the best show on TV by far! It’s fresh. Every episode is new and different. You don’t know what to expect. It’s not the same old same old. I hope this gets renewed!
Love the show!!
Love Bull,
What have you done to this show? In season 2, You’ve slowed the timing. The quick-wittedness is now saccrine. The main character is now one minute self righteous or mildly threatening to his workers, and not in the cute quipping way he was before; then the next moment he’s hugging victims and telling them he’s there for them? The supporting characters have now all become fairly two-dimensional and boring except Chunk who is now doing cartoon-like musical numbers?!? Ludicrous! The only character who is noticeably getting more play and close-ups is the family member of one of the creators. Yet… Read more »
Bull is the only show that I will sit down and actually watch the whole episode. It is also the only one that if I have to DVR it, I will look for it and watch as soon as I can. Please Renew!!!
Best Show on the network! please stay on air!
You would be nuts to cancell this show. I love it. It’s clean and fun to watch. When anyone asks me what I watch on TV, I tell them “Bull” is one of my favorites.
I did not watch season 1 but after viewing season 2, I plan on seeing all the reruns. Absolutely love this show. Michael Weatherly is fantastic, so are all the supporting cast. Season 3 should have more character development. Keep this show on the air. One of the best shows .
Please do not cancel. Best show ever
