Most actors never have a successful TV series while Mayim Bialik has starred in two — Blossom and The Big Bang Theory. Will her latest sitcom, Call Me Kat, also be a success in the ratings? Will this FOX show be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status Update Below.
A multi-camera comedy series, the Call Me Kat TV show is based on the British Miranda series. The sitcom stars Bialik, Swoosie Kurtz, Kyla Pratt, Cheyenne Jackson, Leslie Jordan, and Julian Gant. The story follows Kat (Bialik), a woman who struggles every day against society and her mother to prove that she can live a happy and fulfilling life — despite still being single at 39 years old. Kat’s mother, Sheila (Kurtz), views her daughter being single as her own personal failure. After leaving her job as a University of Louisville college professor, Kat spends the money her parents had set aside for her wedding to open a cat café. Working alongside Kat are Randi (Pratt) and Phil (Jordan). As Kat celebrates her independence, her single-forever plans begin to veer off-course. Her former crush and good friend, Max (Jackson), returns to town and takes a job as a bartender at the piano bar across the street and works with his friend, Carter (Gant).
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

*5/11/2021 update: Call Me Kat has been renewed for a second season on FOX.
This show is still on? What the heck for? It is Garbage.
This show is garbage hopefully it gets cancelled.
Make room for something worth watching.
Disagreement apart of different opinion say love this show look forward every Thursday night comedy so funny than other sitcoms that brand new better story. Never missed any episodes and so happy got renewed another season.
1st show I thought was okay but I knew I had to give it more of a chance and get to know the characters….now I love it! Please renew!!!
Please renew. I love the show. Very quirky and interesting, and funny.
Renew it please! They are likable enough to deserve another chance! Great cast, just needs meatier stories….
I’m very exited for the session 2!
I’d be surprised if it’s renewed. Nothing against Mayim but one thing is being a strong supporting actress on the BBT, believable and consistent even with her personal professional career, and another one is being the star of a sitcom. I only watched the first episode. Hmm. I finished the Flight Attendant though and can’t wait for more. Sorry but it’s the truth.
The actors are all really good but the lame material they have to work with is ruining the entire show, no solid stories and the slap stick comedy is too predictable not to mention the talking to the camera stuff … yawn!
Definitely a delightful show.
First episode, I was unsure. Now I LOVE IT!!! Great cast.
The show was a high school play with a laugh track.
Show is lame. Leslie Jordan is the most annoying character. Show was poorly cast with terrible story lines. Bad writing. The fact that the network blasts Tweets and emails shows they know this is a stinker not to be renewed
Sadly, this show looks dead in the water…well hopefully Mayim and Dan Reo can get that “Blossom” revival off the ground – if Disney and NBC/Peacock are smart enough….
Episode 1 and 2 were not that great. After that they keep me laughing one of the best new shows out! I hope there is another season
Kat herself could do standup and be as good. Need better writers to fit these talents. Needs to make an act with the bartender to sing at his bar on a regular basis.
