What’s This TV Show About?
A Hallmark Canadian-American drama, the Chesapeake Shores stars Meghan Ory, Jesse Metcalfe, Treat Williams, Diane Ladd, Laci J. Mailey, Emilie Ullerup, Brendan Penny, Andrew Francis, Kayden Magnuson, Abbie Magnuson, Greyston Holt, Carlo Marks, Jessica Sipos, Lanie McAuley, and Barbara Niven. The story centers on career woman Abby O’Brien (Ory), a divorced mother of two young daughters who leaves New York for her hometown of Chesapeake Shores, Maryland, where her first love Trace (Metcalfe) lives.

Telly’s Take
Will Hallmark cancel or renew Chesapeake Shores for season five? There were only six episodes this year but the show remained a pretty good performer for the channel. Based on the numbers, I think it will be renewed but am unsure why there were so few episodes. Could this be an indication that Hallmark is going to end the show or, that it’s an expensive program to produce? I’ll update this page with breaking developments. Please have Season 5, and stop messing with Abby and Trace. Their renewed love is what started the show and keeps viewers coming back. As soon as their relationship was threatened, people lost interest.
Hopefully Chesapeake Shores will come back for another season to tie up all the loose ends. Will be terribly disappointed if Abby and Trace don’t get back together. Abby is the one that told Trace to follow his dream. He does that and comes back and now she it over him? Not fair. Do hope they will be back.
Please have season 5 or even more would be fine.

I recently found Chesapeake Shores and absolutely loved it. I do hope there will be a season 5. It has everything I love, romance, country music and the scenery wonderful. The cast amazing and make you feel they are a real family. PLEASE MAKE SERIES 5.

I agree as I haven’t talked to my brother for over 25 years due to him as he couldn’t face the true of what he did to me growing up.. so love the relationship of the brother and sister which at time they do disagree but always becoming to each other again as family which it should be. Even their parents getting back together after they are grown. Love this show as it makes me feel that one day my brother and I will be together again as brother and sister.
