Does Scott’s plan work in the first season of the Council of Dads TV show on NBC? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Council of Dads is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the first season episodes of Council of Dads here. *Status update below.
An NBC family drama, the Council of Dads TV show stars Sarah Wayne Callies, Clive Standen, J. August Richards, Blue Chapman, Emjay Anthony, Michele Weaver, Thalia Tran, Steven Silver, Michael O’Neill, and Tom Everett Scott. Scott Perry (Scott) is a loving father of five who has his entire life’s plan thrown into upheaval by an unexpected health scare. He and his wife, Robin (Callies), call on a few of their most trusted friends to step in as back-up dads to help guide and support his growing family – just in case he can’t be there to do it himself. They include Scott’s most loyal friend, Anthony Lavelle (Standen); Scott’s tough-love AA sponsee, Larry Mills (O’Neill); and Doctor Oliver Post (Richards), Scott’s dedicated oncologist and his wife’s dearest friend. Scott’s kids include adult daughter Luly (Weaver), son Theo (Anthony), son JJ (Chapman), and adopted daughter Charlotte (Tran). Together, this group discovers that there’s more to being a father than anyone could do alone — and more to being a family than they ever thought possible.

There are so few really good shows…put it back on, It actually shows much needed diversity.
What does it take keep a good show on just when it get interesting they cancel it I love the show it meaning and the actors and actress where great where took place I give up in nbc they pull good show keep dumb reality shows on I hope another network that smart enough to know to pick it back up.
What does it take for NBC to keep a show running? First the Village, now Council of Dads. So disappointed. Good stories, good acting and interesting characters. I am so disappointed

This is a great show with believable characters. I was hooked at the first show. I looked forward to the season starting. Now I am disappointed it has been cancelled. My new plan is to not watch a series until I know it has been renewed. Same thing happened with a great show called “The Village”. Also cancelled prematurely. I understand why networks are struggling.

DONT CANCEL THIS SHOW!!! So dumb if you do. This show had such an amazing story line. Such a shame they do this to shows that are actually great.
This is a great show and does not deserve to be canceled. It combines so many of the things that are now going on in many people’s lives. It’s relatable and a great block
This is a great show and should not be cancelled. I think it’s just as good as this is us and parenthood. It’s a family show that is relatable. It has a lot of heart and the actors are excellent. There is so much more to continue on with this story. When the first show aired a month ahead I was hooked and could not wait until it continued. We need more of these family shows instead of the endless police, fire and medical shows. Please don’t cancel it I want to see what happens next.
I love this show but gotta keep my Chicago series. Plus Law & Order SVU. That is my all-time favorite

A great family show like This is Us! Why is this being cancelled? Hoping another network picks this up.
I grew up in the 60’s when shows were wholesome, family oriented, plus had a message. Council of Dads is one of the best shows this year. I love every character, and the storyline is heartwarming. After being inundated with crime and police shows, Council of Dads is a breathe of fresh air! Please reconsider the cancellation.
After Jane the Virgin my mom and I were looking for another show to get into. I started watching this and got her caught up with it to then find out it’s cancelled. I have my suspicions as to why and am not happy at all of its cancellation. We both hope NBC reconsiders because it truly is a wonderful family show. There aren’t many of those and the world definitely needs more of its kind.
