As you may recall, NBC aired the first season of Crossing Lines a couple summers ago. It didn’t perform well enough in the ratings and the network opted not to pick up the second season. Crossing Lines has been a success in the international market however and Netflix recently started streaming season two for US audiences.
Deadline now reports that a third season of 12 episodes has been ordered with Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) and Goran Visnjic (ER) joining the cast. They’ll join Donald Sutherland as leads, replacing William Fichtner.
The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz is joining the show as an executive producer alongside Tandem’s Rola Bauer. Crossing Lines creator and executive producer Ed Bernero departed after Season two to be close to his family in California.
The series shoots in Europe and filming will be getting underway next week in Prague. It’s not known when season three will be available here in the States, via Netflix or some other outlet.
What do you think? Do you like the Crossing Lines TV show? Have you seen the second season? Would you pay to watch the third season?
Please continue with Crossing Lines, my husband and I both love it, my husbands brother told us about it, he and his wife watch it and we got our daughter hooked on it, was disappointed when we caught up with all the episodes on Netflix so all are awaiting the new season!!!!!
Awesome , awesome cast and scripting. Very brilliant investment in high quality character development with superb acting and casting throughout. I am very sad that the originals were not all returns to carry the show forward. I am saddened that NBC no longer gives enough time to build an audience and enough publicity to garner at least a trial watch. from the beginning, this was a show to compel fervent fanhood and transcend the genre. Some of the plots were just a little bit harder to suspend one’s belief that others, but that is okay, as the truth in the… Read more »

I too was disappointed with the network cancellation of this impressive show. A new computer would be required for me to stream on Netflix. I already pay enough for TV, and feel shortchanged by much of what gets renewed every season, which I consider tabloid quality programming.
I loved this series. It was intelligently written with a brilliant, believable cast. With the exception of Donald Sutherland (who is fabulous here), there are no major American actors and they aren’t needed to carry this gritty series; the writers do their job and deliver.
Series like this one are few and far in-between. They are character and plot driven instead of the usual sensational, gorey, dumbed down ones. We need more of these, not less!
Great show!! Our favorite!!!
I adored that serie. One of the best I ever watch.
Looking for season 3.
I cannot beleive Crossing-Lines Will end with the dead of the major.
This one OF the best série I havé Everton Watchmen on TV.
I with I could put my hand on the french version of this wonderful serie
Great show. Hate to see Fichtner go, as well as so many changes in all of the cast. Looking forward to hopefully see season 3.
Love this show. Found it on Netflix and got hooked. Glad it’s coming back for season 3. Hopefully we don’t have to wait to long to get it.
I Love this show. I can’t wait for Season 3 to be on Netflix.
I love this show, have been waiting for it to come back.
I love the show – just make sure once Season 3 is out….get it on Netflix right away! Cannot wait for it.
I love the show but not only the output Fichtner as the death of the French character, and the output of tommy characters and Eve very couple’r digest.
I will give Season 3 a chance although Louie just may pull through but losing Fitchner sucks real bad. It doesn’t exact say Tommy and Eva won’t be back and I loved Luka on ER so I will watch a few but if too many characters are replaced I feel it will be the demise of the show and I would hate to lose this show.
I have a feeling they won’t be back since they’re adding 4 new regulars and the actor/actress had a baby together in real life so they may decide to focus on the baby and family.
I’m really hooked, bring on season 3.
i am hooked!!! excellent show – please re-elease in t u.s. we love crime tv shows!
I love this show, but I am very unhappy to hear that Fichtner is leaving. I think he makes the show. I would pay to watch the show, unless all these changes make the show go down the drain.
I found he and Carrie Anne-Moss elevated the episodes this season. Not that I wanted her on permanently, but they sizzled on-screen. And the Tommy story was riveting and well acted – loved it! Everything else was kind of forgettable…
