There’s no need to worry about Days of Our Lives being cancelled right now. In May 2021, the venerable soap opera was renewed for two years by NBC, through the 58th season (2022-23). How long will Days continue after that? Could it move to the Peacock streaming service as an exclusively online series? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
Premiering on November 8th of 1965, Days of Our Lives is set in the fictitious Midwestern town of Salem. It revolves around the members of the Brady, Horton, and DiMera families — along with their friends, enemies, and lovers. Castmembers include Lucas Adams, Lamon Archey, Lindsay Arnold, Camila Banus, Brandon Barash, Brandon Beemer, Nadia Bjorlin, Raven Bowens, Tamara Braun, Bryan Dattilo, Mary Beth Evans, Dan Feuerriegel, Billy Flynn, Galen Gering, Stacy Haiduk, Deidre Hall, Jackée Harry, Drake Hogestyn, Jay Kenneth Johnson, Lauren Koslow, Martha Madison, Eric Martsolf, Marci Miller, Stephen Nichols, Emily O’Brien, James Reynolds, Suzanne Rogers, Sal Stowers, Alison Sweeney, Josh Taylor, Paul Telfer, Robert Scott Wilson, and Arianne Zucker.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

Just watching fist season of beyond Salem. Does anyone else notice Ciara dresses trashy. Boobs hanging out of bra. And dress barely covers her butt. Because of devil story I have not seen her pregnant.
I’ve been watching Days for more than 50 years and can’t believe how terrible the current storylines are. I record it and most of the time just fast forward because the storylines are so bizarre and repetitive. Bringing back the devil and enhancement so it jumps from person to person is just ridiculous at this point and so boring. If I wasn’t able to record and fast forward I wouldn’t be watching at all. I’m nearly ready to quit this longtime favorite show. The devil theme has gone on way too long. Involving a baby is my limit. Please do a re-write and get rid of Satanic stuff for good!!!!!!
The storyline of being possessed by the devil is the worst. Bad enough that it was brought back again after all these years and now the devil is possessing one person after another. Put an end to this nonsense. I have watched this soap since it started but I am losing interest as other people must be if you look at the ratings.
I feel the same need some new writers
Agree that the devil storyline has gone on too long, but, there’s no point in forgetting to mention the other storylines going on that are very interesting. Anyone not watching is missing out on some fun times and entertainment. I have watched B and B in the past, which is beyond boring and same old same old, year in and year out. Y and R seems very slow to me, and bores me to tears. Liked GH years ago, but it doesn’t hold me interest now.
Days of Our Lives has become the sickest Soap Opera ever aired. What is wrong with the writers? This Devil crap is so terrible. So are all the revived dead people & people playing double roles. Come on! Get some decent story lines or this show will definitely get cancelled.

I’ve watched Days for years, but this devil story line is too much. It’s time to end it.
Enough with passing the devil to each person in Salem, the devil saga with Marlena years ago was enough, now it is getting very boring, movc on.
Just want to give you my opinion on Days of our lives. I have been watching this show for years and this devil crap is terrible! As the show is now, it’s not worth watching!
I think the story line of the devil is boring. The writers have the devil jumping from Marlena to Johnny now Allie, when does it end. There are so many plots going on and nothing gets resolved. The bad guys get away with everything. The writers seem to enjoy breaking up married couples no one stays together. Its just one big mess. Also thinking of deleting days from my dvr.
