It was an underwhelming start for the new reality series. It tied with a repeat of The Middle on ABC for second place. If it dips in week two (as most new shows do), it’ll likely drop to third or fourth place. This premiere was less than half of what CBS saw from last summer’s Big Brother return.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Dogs in the City TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I love it and I’m not a dog person…I have cats which are untrainable. One of the cats even watches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crying and laughing. Thought it would be sad and depressing, but it’s really a great show. I have 8 naughty dogs, but not in the city,,,,which makes the show so good. I live with this every day….but wouldn’t have it any other way.
I love the show. Please keep it on.
Love the show. Keep it on.
Awful! He tethered an attacking dog to a cabinet, problem solved??? He didn’t train the dog or change its behavior at all. Ridiculous. He is no trainer, plus he talks too much and wastes valuable time. Fail.
I luv justin he knows what he’s doing
I saw “Dogs in the City” for the first time last week and loved it. There is so little worth watching and it was a real treat. PLEASE keep it.
I train dogs for friends and love doing it. I found the show enjoyable and the owners ‘typical’. As Mrs. Woodhouse, the famous English dog trainer, said when asked how long it would take to train a dog said, ‘training the dog won’t take very long, but training the owners takes a little longer.’ I am paraphrasing, but that is so true.
Justin Silver was refreshing….charming intelligent and sincere. A real natural at communicating…Loved the concept, info and Justin
re.: A real natural at communicating Sorry but I couldn’t disagree more. Justin is not even qualified to be working with dogs the way he is. From what I know he’s not even a certified dog trainer and every trainer I’ve read has said his methods are ass backwards. I also find him to not be personable with the clients. How long have you been a cop Justin asks? 12 years the cop responds. Uhh-huh Justin responds. Sorry? If you’re interested than ask the question, but he doesn’t seem to be very interested in the clients but it’s all forced… Read more »
WAY too much conversation with too little training. Show me how to train my dog and eliminate all the talk. My guess is the show was probably 10% training.
I hope they can improve and the show lasts but it won’t make it like this.
Great show. Pet training is always a positive. This is the better side of these reality shows.
I loved it! keep it on=)
Liked it. Positive show. Keep it.
he’s no CESAR MILAN, but nice try being the next Dog Whisperer keep practicing
Justin seemed to be weak in the dog training business – didn’t come across as an expert – found the show to lag and be completely predictable. Not original in its format. It’s in the doghouse.
I liked Dogs in the City a lot———positive training, good example——please keep it.
