HGTV fans, you’re about to get your fix. Today, the network announced season three of its popular renovation series, Fixer Upper, will premiere on December 1st.
Created in 2014, the series follows hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines as they revitalize old and rundown properties.
Season three will see the Gaines fix up a variety of buildings including a Victorian home they transform into a bed-and-breakfast. A special bed-and-breakfast episode of Fixer Upper will air on December 22nd.
Here’s the official announcement:
The new season will be full of surprises, funny outtakes and special behind-the-scenes footage. The Gaines will reimagine a wide variety of old houses, including rundown ranchers and dilapidated historic homes, and will give families the spacious new layouts, beautiful room designs and updated curb appeal that they never thought was possible.
“We will tackle some major projects this season,” said Chip. “It will be our best season yet.”
In addition, Chip and Joanna fall in love with a 1850s Victorian home and decide it’s the perfect location for a new business venture – a Fixer Upper-style bed-and-breakfast. A special episode of Fixer Upper premiering on Tuesday, December 22, at 9 p.m. ET/PT will follow Chip and Joanna as they renovate and decorate their charming new bed-and-breakfast in time for a festive family gathering.
“Now I know how people feel when we show them major fixer uppers,” said Joanna. “When we saw the place, it was screaming for somebody fix it up.”
From December 1 to December 22, viewers who dream of visiting the Gaines new bed-and-breakfast can enter the Fixer Upper Ultimate Escape Sweepstakes for a chance to win a two-night stay. Fans can get more information about the sweepstakes at HGTV.com/FixerUpper beginning Tuesday, November 24. What do you think? Are you a fan of Fixer Upper? Will you be watching season three?
Absolutely love Joanna and Chip. Fixer Upper is another fav of all the Reno shows on. Someday hope to make a trip to Waco and check out their new silos!
I love love this program . I benge watch every Tue. They are the most beautiful family. Please keep them on.
Joanna & Chip suck BIG TIME. Same old boring crap, week after week ending with “oh how wonderful you made this house”. GAG! And WACO, OMG, it is the armpit of Texas. Joanna’s designs are soooooooo boring – devoid of talent or skills. Her husband chip is an crude idiot. Keep their children out of the program, not interested in their offspring. Best to do, drop the whole program into the Brazos River and let it float away.
Patrick, If the show offends your sences you may notice TVs have on/off buttons as well as other channels. Feeling the way you expressed why are you watching?
Yes, I’m a big, big fan of the show. But while Magnolia House, looks pretty, I didn’t find it at all appealing as a bed and breakfast home. I expected a good chunk of the renovation budget to go towards creating additional bathrooms (at least en-suites for the two ground floor bedrooms and a powder room for the public spaces, but an extra half or 3/4 bath for the private upstairs suite would have made it more suitable for groups other than parents with small children). Not only do the two ground floor bedrooms still share the single hall bathroom… Read more »
I am a very big fan of your show, you know other people try to mimic what you do,the way you carry yourself with the family not knowing that you are exceptional, and real nobody does it like you JoJo.
I am a big fan! I hope this show keeps going and going and going. Chip and Joanna fun to watch and the remodeling work they do is amazing. I also can’t wait to see the new B&B and plan to make reservations as soon as they start taking them. A trip to Waco, a couple of nights in a B&B, and visit to Magnolia Market: Could there be a better mini-vacation after the holiday rush?
Hurry up Season 3!! I am a HUGE fan! I love the energy between Chip and Joanna ~ they are fun to watch. I am always inspired by Joanna’s decorating ~ you can feel the warmth in every home. I’m a flea market/antiques junkie, and I appreciate the special touches she adds to each project. Best of Luck with the B&B ~ can’t wait to see it!
Totally love Jojo and Chip!! They are magic together! I feel they have a true love relationship and it comes through the TV! It is nice also how the children are included, it shows how a working family works together. Oh and the designs, AWESOME! Joanne has a real eye for design. She has the vision and Chip has the ability to make them come true. A wonderful team, we are so fortunate they are on HGTV so we can enjoy each Fixer Upper!
Oh my gosh…I love Fixer Upper so much, I have watched every episode 2 – 3 times! I can’t wait for season 3, not to mention the programs on the Magnolia Silos and your new bed & breakfast. It’s such fun to watch your interaction and to watch your family and gsrm grow

I can’t get enough of the show and I am hooked! I am so amazed at the designs that Jo comes up with. Every house she reforms, I want to live in them. I am sure the bed and breakfast will be awesome! Cannot wait to see the new episodes. Love you Jo and Chip!!
Great programs love all of them
Great minds think alike! I too love this show and this family! I dream of having my California ranch fixer upper transformed with the “magical magnolia” touch! Maybe they could do a roadshow and fix up a few houses around the country…. Wouldn’t that be something? I’m looking forward to another great season!
This is a fabulous show & I can’t wait till it’s back on w/new episodes. And I agree with Wilhemina, we’re senior citizens who can’t afford to do a lot around here, not to mention being in poor health… wouldn’t that be great if they traveled all over the country to fix up the places of people in need? If they do, sign me up… if they don’t, I’m still going to watch their excellent show! Love them.
Yes it would be great to have them come to North Carolina to redo our old home. We are a retired
Older couple without the ability to do a lot of remodeling because of health abilities and financially.
Hello Chip and Joanna.
I love looking at the work the two of you do together. It has always been a dream for my husband and I to get one of those big old homes and bring it back to life. I was just wondering, do you all ever plan to visit Baltimore, MD to do some of your fixing up here? We currently have 7 people (long story) in our 3 BR 1 BA apartment. Please come and see us, we need your help. Hope to hear from you all be blessed.
