From creators Carol Hay and Michelle Ricci, the Frankie Drake Mysteries TV show is a Canadian mystery drama that originated on CBC. Unfolding in 1920s Toronto, the series follows the city’s first female detective, Frankie Drake (Smith), and her partner in crime-solving, Trudy Clarke (Riley).
While there are plenty of cases the Toronto police shy from, the same cannot be said of Frankie and Trudy. Unbound by convention, the Drake Private Detectives are adept at turning their gender disadvantage into an advantage.
The cases Frankie and Trudy take on bring them in contact with people from all walks of Toronto life — from the wealthy and privileged to beauty queens, and even church choirs.
These women do not know the meaning of the word fear, and while that often lands them in deep trouble, they’re always able to dig their way out. A new day is dawning, and Frankie and Trudy are more than ready for it, even if the world isn’t quite ready for them.

I love Frankie Drake mysteries
I really love you mysteries. I’m very sad to hear that they’re not making a fifth season I love all the actresses in it and all the stuff they have to play in it and I just love the clothes and I just like the whole premise about the women I’m gonna miss it because I get such a kick out of it.
We are SO disappointed that Frankie Drake series was canceled. All the acting is great, story lines make sense. Even the music was great. Someone messed up on this….
Frankie Drake mysteries is a great show and a crime to cancel it. It and Murdoch Mysteries are two great shows and I look for them always. Please do not cancel Frankie Drake Mysteries this is too good a show to cancel. Why would anyone want to cancel this well of a show. I very much want season five and more. This could go on like Murdoch has. Two great shows that you would never have to worry about. Thanks for your support and understanding.
What lain brain made this decision, find the person and fire them. Bring the show back.
I loved the Frankie Drake series and always worried about it being cancelled because it was too good. Not only were the mysteries fun and the four women terrific but the professional relationship between Frankie and Greyson has to be the best portrayal of attraction with potential “complications” I’ve ever seen. It’s a great show that becomes addictive. Nothing compares. Renew please.
Enjoy watching Frankie Drake. It is nice to see strong, independent women asserting themselves in the twenties. It would have been interesting to see all four of the women pursuing their careers and ambitions. Each of them have their own unique personality, and I also liked whenever there was a bit of comedy in the episodes. Hope to see it come back one day soon!
Why oh why? This is a great show really enjoy the mysteries with out the gore. There is a great cast it is just so disappointing that this network is cancelling this show.
Please bring Frankie Drake back! it is a great show, with wonderful strong women having adventures most of us dream about. We love escaping into the Frankie Drake show. WHY would Frankie Drake be cancelled, when nothing else on offer on the air compares to it?

I love Frankie Drake mysteries. It’s right up there with Murdoch mysteries. Please do not cancel Frankie Drake Mysteries I want a season five and more.
I was shocked and surprised to just find out that this show has been canceled, especially with the cliffhanger they left us with! (the shooting, the possible new love interest)
