As you may have noticed, ABC doesn’t typically announce if General Hospital has been renewed for another year, it just keeps running. No news is often good news. The venerable soap has been on the air for over six decades and is the alphabet network’s sole surviving daytime drama. Will General Hospital survive to see a 63rd season and the 2025-26 network TV season? Could ABC announce a renewal this time, or could it be cancelled and replaced by a talk show? Stay tuned.
Debuting in 1963 on April 1st, General Hospital revolves around the loves, lives, and deaths of the people of Port Charles, New York. Actors appearing in the current season include Tabyana Ali, Jens Austin Astrup, Maurice Benard, Alexa Havins Bruening, Braedyn Bruner, Steve Burton, Jane Elliot, Genie Francis, Nancy Lee Grahn, Tanisha Harper, Finola Hughes, Jonathan Jackson, Josh Kelly, Brook Kerr, Katelyn MacMullen, Kate Mansi, Cameron Mathison, Sofia Mattsson, Giovanni Mazza, Eden McCoy, Amanda Setton, Kirsten Storms, Josh Swickard, Donnell Turner, Kristen Vaganos, Kristina Wagner, Cynthia Watros, Maura West, Sawandi Wilson, Laura Wright, and Dominic Zamprogna.

What do you think? Do you still like the General Hospital TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for a 63rd season on ABC?

Please keep GH going, I’ve watched from day one!
Although I don’t always agree with the writers, I am 65 years old and been watching this show since I was 9 years old, with my mom, neighbors, friends. I love the show as a whole and weathering the shifts in writers, the ups and downs in the appeal of certain story lines & characters or would be awful to see the show gone.
Please please keep on general hospital I’ve been watching it since I’m like 5 I’m 61 now. It’s my hour everyone knows not to bother me during general hospital I watch so many of them come and go, and it’s probably the only thing I do watch on television so please please just keep showing it thank you
Yes keep we don’t need another stupid talk show there’s enough
Please keep general hospital on. I’ve watched it forever. It’s the only time I get to myself is 1 hour a day, so please don’t take it off the air.
I do not watch a show by the ratings. I watch because I like it. Besides, how do they tell who watches, who doesn’t and what the ratings are. A portion of the ratings are false. Like when local news preempts it for local happenings, when national news does the same, or when ABC owners withhold broadcasts due to contract negotiations. The fans watch every day when it is broadcasts. The problem is not with fas/ratings, it is the PTB. GH is one of only two shows I watch on ABC. With all the casts changes, story lines, etc. like… Read more »
I have been general hospital from day one. Thus the only thing that’s good to watch in the day. The talk shows are old .
Please keep GH on the air! It’s an hour to myself….
Keep it on !!! I’ve been watching it since the 70’s . It’s one of my favorite shows. I even have my 80 year old father watching.
You can’t count the streamers that us other programs that are not main streamed. I bet a lot of them watch general hospital
Keep it on please
I was so heart broken when all my children was canceled please keep General hospital. But the writing has to change.
I’ve been watching since the beginning. I’ve seen the shows ups and downs. It was more entertaining when the writers occasionally wrote in a little comedy. Bringing Jason back was a real boost. Im Glad they haven’t brought Ingo back. They do need a big suspenseful storyline and a live interest for Alexis.
I love General Hospital! The one thing I look forward to watching on weekdays. There are enough talk shows already.
I have been watching General Hospital for the same 6 decades. Actually. It’s the ONLY show I watch on ABC. If they cancel the show, there will be nothing I watch on ABC.
