Looks like CBS is unfriending God Friended Me. CBS just announced they’ve cancelled the TV show after two seasons, Deadline reports.
The series revolves around a thoughtful and outspoken podcaster named Miles (Brandon Micheal Hall) whose life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from a user named “God.” The cast also includes Violett Beane, Joe Morton, Suraj Sharma, Javicia Leslie, and Erica Gimpel, with Adam Goldberg and Jessica Lu recurring.
The second season of God Friended Me is averaging a 0.67 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.24 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 25% in the demo by down by 20% in viewership. That’s quite a dip in the ratings for the CBS TV show
What do you think? Do you watch God Friended Me? Would you have watched season three?
Yes I love the show I look forward to every week I think CBS made a mistake canceling this series
Perhaps it is CBS that needs to receive a suggestion. Sometimes profit is not the highest good Giving hope to millions of viewers that goodness can overcome evil is priceless! Watch this show with my wife each week and feel like I too can make a difference in a stranger’s life …someone I didn’t realize was really my neighbor!
I agree with Judy
Yes I would have watched season 3. The only show I looked forward to watching on Sunday evening. It will be missed by me. It was so different from other shows on tv. Its ashame to see it go away. Please bring it back.
PLEASE renew God Friended Me. Our family watches faithfully every Sunday night. So sad that you have made this terrible decision to cancel! Please reconsider!
I sure hate that their won’t be a third season. Just a terrific show with a great theme, great acting and a show that shows how people should help each other regardless of their beliefs or in spite of them. We need good family shows like this. I looked forward to it every Sunday evening
The show is so positive, kind, hopeful, inspirational, loving, deverse and so much more.
It has many life lessons weekly. How to care, love and help your fellow man. IT’S GREAT!!
PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL!!!
This show is what America has needed. It makes me, my family and friend feel GOOD and HAPPY.
Heartbreaking that if its not about cursing, sex, blood or evil, the show doesn’t make it. Hmmmmmm, wonder why the world is in the shape it is in? Garbage in the minds of our children, garbage out of the minds of our children.
It’s a shame that decent shows lacking in sex, bad language and violence are getting cancelled. We need more shows like God Friended Me. Please reconsider.

Never miss the show and I’m very upset that it won’t be renewed. It is one of the few
good shows that are on at the moment. A show that can be watched with no killing or
violence and enjoyed for its good clean content. Please consider bringing it back.
Thank you.
Yes I would watch. I so looked forward to this show, it showed that people do care for strangers. Such a wonderful show for a Sunday.
I hope another network picks it up. It was truly one of my favourite shows. I will start watching another network who picks it up. We need this type of feel good entertainment especially during this time of the covid -19. Please reconsider and give us season 3
My family and I looked fotward to watching this show every Sunday night!!!! It has become one of our favorites and we didn’t miss one episode! I’m really disappointed that it has been canceled! It is one of the few shows on tv that has meaning and that I like my daughter to watch….We are going to miss it very much….so sad to see it ending!
I can count on one hand the few TV shows that I still watch.
God Friended Me is at the top of that list. I truly hope you find away to keep this show. There’s to many shows filled with violence, sex, and corruption on TV today. Night time games and talk shows is not a good replacement either. There’s no needed to watch TV if there’s nothing good on to watch.
Wow I can’t believe that they canceled this show. Even my 21 year old son loved it. If we couldn’t watch it … we DVR it.
So sick of police dramas, CSI shows, medical drama, etc. Finally had a show to watch that has a positive story line with out the blood and gore.
Guess we will be watching other networks on Sunday night.
Yes, I look forward to watching on Sundays. As a matter of fact I record it every week just so I can binge watch. I will truly miss the show. One of my best shows yet so sad ☹️
