God Friended Me was recently cancelled by CBS, and now the cast is reacting to the move by the network. Brandon Michael Hall, Violett Beane and others on the cast spoke about the series ending on social media.
Per TV Line, Hall revealed the following about the cancellation of God Friended Me:
“There’s something to be said for an artist to be able to wake up every single day and work with a group of people who you can honestly call your family. The hardest thing is knowing I’m not going to be able to… work with them [every day].”

I love that show now F words or other cuss words. Loved the cast. So sad to see it go my husband even watched it. Did Ali really cut her hair ?
The LAST show that should be canceled is “God Friended Me”! I hope you realize your error and renew it! We need this type of programming more than ever now!
God Friended Me was a real good TV show with an amazing cast. Every Sunday night GFM lifted our spirits and allows us to enjoy a night of great programming. For the last two years I have shed many tears because of the shows content. GFM reminded me of the shows Highway to Heaven and Touched By An Angel. I am so glad to see someone else compare this delightful show to “Highway to Heaven” and “Touched by an Angel”! (Loved those shows!!) What a shame that such a wholesome and uplifting program has been canceled while leaving countless garbage shows polluting the airwaves. Very, very upsetting indeed!!
I can’t believe CBS would cancel this uplifting, positive family program. My friends and I look forward to Sunday night to watch God Friended Me and start the new week with a positive outlook that everything has a way of working out. Our lives are much more intertwined than we realize. That’s a wonderful thing.

What an outstanding, family-friendly show. Exactly what our country needs right now. Just crushed to hear of it being cancelled. Hope the network reconsiders.
Really CBS? Of all the opportunities to cut something, you take out Miles, Kara and Co? Truly the only show I plan to watch each week. Such love, compassion, hope and common sense. Boy does our country need these qualities right now. I am so disappointed. Please, CBS, rethink your decision and let the great writers continue uplifting us all!
Can’t believe they cancelled this show. It was the one thing one Sunday night I looked forward to watching. Network executives have no idea what people like as they put dumber and dumber shows on.
Super big mistake. We need thoughtful shows that offer hope, especially at the time we are experiencing the human crisis caused by the virus.

Need another network to pick this show up. It’s too good to be cancelled. Especially during this time, this show was a feel good show that always touched our hearts. We need shows like this during the pandemic but loved the show before. This is the one show my husband and I looked forward to watching. It wasn’t stupid and everyone in it always had a good storyline. Really sorry that it is being cancelled.
