God Friended Me was recently cancelled by CBS, and now the cast is reacting to the move by the network. Brandon Michael Hall, Violett Beane and others on the cast spoke about the series ending on social media.
Per TV Line, Hall revealed the following about the cancellation of God Friended Me:
“There’s something to be said for an artist to be able to wake up every single day and work with a group of people who you can honestly call your family. The hardest thing is knowing I’m not going to be able to… work with them [every day].”

WHY WAS GOD FRIENDED ME CANCELLED????? Sunday night at 7pm is the only time my TV is turned on…Loved this show…There is too many types of different POLICE, FBI or that kind of shows on TV. now…I am 85 years old and GFM was the only thing on TV worth watching…I am very up set about this!!!!!!!!
I am very upset about the cancellation of God Friended Me it’s a great show and it is very important to have in this day and time. It shows how people are helping others to make things better for them. I love this show I never miss a episode. I know you can find more to write about to continue this show. There is always someone needing help.

Can another station, please pick this up!!??!! Don’t let this show, be canceled. It’s too , too good. A show that’s actually enjoyable to watch. No violence, no murdering, no cursing. Just a plain ole , feel good show. Thank you. NBC or ABC, HALLMARK, pick it up!!! Hallmark this is perfect for you.
We are very disappointed in cancelation of God Friended me. It is an excellent show. Along with Magnum PI, Hawaii Five O, Blue Bloods, NCIS, NCIS LA, NCIS New Orleans. Why would you cancel shows we love? Not to mention The Neighborhood…
I can’t believe CBS cancelled this show!! I loved it. Maybe we could get FOX to pick it up.

In this angry world, God friended Me is a bright spot.
My entire family has faithfully watched every episode.
There’s wonderful values, lessons and the human condition is displayed in a way that reaches all age groups.

I am very disappointed that God Friended Me has been cancelled. The script writing is excellent. The characters are interesting and they show the ability to change and grow. The plots are engaging. The show covers a wide variety of current topics: same sex-partners, inter-racial couples, atheism, faith, belief in helping others, curiosity, listening and understanding the Friends story, carefully considering how to help each Friend, computer questions, good and bad usage, and the mystery of who is behind the God Account. I am EXTREMELY disappointed that GFM got cancelled. While I truly enjoy all my NCIS shows, my calming show is GFM. A great cast, great message and beautifully shot, written and directed. So what will replace it CBS? Another adult cartoon? Come on! No Madame Secretary, No Hawaii Five-O….what are you going to do next? I am scared to even imagine! Maybe another network can take on GFM…any takers?
I am very disappointed that this series is cancelled. We need more uplifting, non-violent shows that can be viewed by every family member. I sincerely hope that this will be continued on the same or a different network.
God Friended Me was one of my favorite shows. So sad!
