God Friended Me was recently cancelled by CBS, and now the cast is reacting to the move by the network. Brandon Michael Hall, Violett Beane and others on the cast spoke about the series ending on social media.
Per TV Line, Hall revealed the following about the cancellation of God Friended Me:
“There’s something to be said for an artist to be able to wake up every single day and work with a group of people who you can honestly call your family. The hardest thing is knowing I’m not going to be able to… work with them [every day].”

Sad to learn this show has been cancelled. It was so inspiring to see a show in which people helped people without expecting anything in return. How family members could love each unconditionally despite their differences. A great cast with definite chemistry. A show with no violence or explicit sex. Trouble is I expected this to happen. I guess goodness and kindness don’t draw advertisers any more.
Unbelievable that more reality shows are on than quality family tv now a days. Why did this show end so suddenly?
I was shocked and sad to see that God Friended Me is cancelled. I looked forward to watching the the show every week. It’s a feel good show that inspires hope. We need a show like that even more today with the world the way it is today.
Whatever you do to fill this spot, DO NOT ADD A STUPID REALITY SHOW!!!!
Haven’t felt this bad about a cancellation since Highway to Heaven and Touched by an Angel. 2 yrs not enough…good luck to the cast.
UNBELIEVEABLE! please don’t take this slow away! Finally something with a different story line. I loved how the writers would right in previous friend suggestions to connect with new story lines among other things. The actors are great, characters believable and gelled very well. I looked forward to the show each Sunday.
What a sad shame that the most family friendly show on TV is being canceled. I watch it every Sunday with my mom and we are both vastly disappointed. It’s a crying shame that the good, wholesome shows don’t stay around long. I sure hope the network doesn’t put a show with violence and mayhem, or another stupid reality show in its place.
Just seems anything worth watching, doesn’t stay very long. This is the only show I prepare are to watch.
There is nothing on tv worth looking forward to. Nothing you can embrace as wholesome.

It’s so sad that a wholesome show like “God Friended Me” has been cancelled right when we as a country need something like this program. Hopefully enough watchers will voice their opinion to the network to reconsider their decision.
nooooo!!! I thought I hadn’t heard correctly when they just said series finale. How can it be? It is one of the only shows I watch. I tell people how positive and uplifting it is. I am sure it has to do with ratings. How can people keep watching horrid shows like all those CSI and such franchises. It seems whenever there is a show that makes you feel good- it does not last long( same thing happened to Joan of Arcadia years ago). I am truly disappointed 🙁

I absolutely love this show, why? Why? WHY??? WHY? Please don’t cancel the show! Please! I really would listen to music than watch tv, but this show has been great. Please reconsider. Thank you
Very very upset right now. Why is it that meaningful, spiritually uplifting and heartfelt shows seemed to ALWAYS get cancelled? Qe have enough crime shows, shoot ’em up shows to last for a lifetime. However, when we get a show as great and MOVING as God Friended Me, it gets cancelled!!!!! CBS you ought to feel ashamed (whoever made this decision), that is was not worthy to continue. Sad and terribly disappointed!! A great family show. There are too few shows worth watching on tv today. This is one of the few!! Great stories and characters. Keep this show instead of so called “reality” shows.
Are you kidding me? It was the one show that we watched every week. The best show on TV!
What!? I can’t believe it! My daughter gets excited to watch this show with me (1 of the few shows). It’s a GREAT family show! There’s not violence, gore, bad language, etc that you see now days.
